Not sure what more to ask of this place. Family owned, and they couldn't be more helpful, with everything we needed as we arrived. Beautiful area, view of the blue ridge mts on the next ridge. Gravel, well maintained but uphill road to the site. Small fishing pond (no license- it's private property), clean laundry room, full hookups, quiet. Site has a wooden deck patio. There are a number of long term, friendly folks that stay here, and they care that the place looks nice. All have well maintained rigs and spaces. Access is from the Blue Ridge Parkway, between mile post 247 and 248. Strong wifi. Our site was 30 amp.

Most travel/ near main road campgrounds have either highway noise or train noises. This quiet campground has neither. They offer a good sam discount, have new picnic tables, and a walking path around the perimeter of the property. As an added bonus, you have the option of ordering a home made dinner, delivered to your campsite. The very accommodating hosts helped us to our site and came by later to just check in. Wonderful hospitality.

hook ups and a pull thru. Good place to recharge. Easy access to Hwy 40. Desk clerk very helpful when we called to advise of a late arrival due to an accident on 40. She suggested Rt 66. Surprised more truckers didn't use that to get around the accident.
towards the back of the park, a little less cell, but strong wifi! Train is a bit louder at the back, and it's all gravel and dusty- but a great one night spot.

There are few options in central CT, and this one is clean. Sites are close, and most campers are kid focused. Don't believe what they saw about wifi. It only works on the store porch. Showers are clean, laundry room has 2 washers, 3 working driers. W/E with dump station. Kind of expensive, but not a lot of choices.

just a short distance off hwy 40. No noises except the birds singing. if it had been raining, there would be mud, because the gravel is sparse in places. Good playground for the kids. Laundry room was adequate. Some full timers, but all were friendly. No picnic tables, but still a bit cool to sit outside for very long. Very small bathroom and shower- use your own. Wifi is adequate for email.

We were 'mid mountain' and didn't hear any noise from the highway nearby. The sites were a bit close, but they have privacy hedges growing between the sites. They also have a clean laundry room and helpful staff coming by to pick up daily trash, mow a little, and what ever else is needed. As said by others, this is a mountain campground, so you have to be comfortable driving your rig up a grade. It's worth it. Very easy to get to Ashville, and then return to a private, quiet campsite. They do seem very popular. Several other campers we talked with are repeat customers.
They advertise wifi, but it was weak, so we had to use our hotspot for a zoom call, and for faster internet speed. Because of the wifi, I downgraded 1 star in 'quality'.

We stopped overnight before, and we'll stop again. The trucks park in a separate lot. The lot for RV's and cars is quiet. There are plenty of trashcans, and a store/Denny's if needed. Sure wish folks would pick up after their dogs, tho.

At the local visitor center, the person at the desk said this is one of the best campgrounds in the area, but they are so often filled! I see why there are a lot of repeat campers here. If you can use the dump station and can get by with just electric and water, the E/W sites are large and well separated. Lots of green screen gives privacy from view and smoke of neighboring campsites. The hosts are helpful and friendly. We love it here!

Clean, family friendly. Kids were running around, on bikes, etc. Right on Oak Creek, nice spring, nice shade. Electric voltage dropped in late afternoon, as everyone ran air conditioning. (Not so good for refrig!). Spaces are VERY close, so don't plan on sleeping after your neighbor's kids awake! limited wifi only at clubhouse. no cell.

close to Cherokee. No shower, no hook ups, but they do have a dump and a water supply there. Mostly tents, with some tear drops and small self contained units. Ranger only on weekends, and no host, but everyone was respectful when we were there. Small campground, quiet. good size sites. Right by the stream, that you can hear at nights. No wifi, no cell.
