This place exceeded our expectation. It is a nice big museum type of building with interactive display inside. You can buy 2015 Homestead National Monument of America quarter here. It's part of the United States Mint's America the Beautiful Quarters program. If you don't have enough cash for fancy coin sets but still want one, you may get around it buy purchasing small item from their gift shop and ask for change in quarters. They usually have those special ones at the register to give.
We went there on a quiet Sunday afternoon and saw two black squirrels.. A little underwhelming but hey if you have never seen one, go there! People who we had encountered were all very friendly and helpful. They all recommended the park for potential black squirrel hangout. It's near the high school.
