I got a free one year thousand trails membership with the purchase of our fifth wheeler. No campgrounds near us so we were excited to be able to use it on our trip to Florida. It is clearly a full timers set up and works for that. But for a 1 week stay I would pass. Towing our 32’ 5wheel to the site was an adventure in its own right. NARROW roads with vehicles parked on Tiny lots that had to park diagonally. Literally <6” of clearance in spots. Was assigned spot V18 near the entrance. It the only way out is across the media. Our escort Mikey said, “ well, as long as it doesn’t rain you should be able to get out.” Then took our pug puppy to a area behind us and a Karen in a park model burst out the door to in form me it was her backyard (it wasn’t). Will report back at the end of the week but seriously will not be renewing my Thousand Trails membership if this is what to expect.
Great for a one night stop. Level gravel, good water. Didn’t use WiFi or facilities. Walmart close by but sketchy area so lock the door. They even hired a security firm to patrol the parking lot. Plenty of places to eat right next door.
A beautifully maintained campground inside a 200 acre state park near the mpls/ St Paul Zoo. Great water pressure, plenty of green space for the dogs. Completely full this weekend so book early. Would come back again. For sure.
