Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 29, 2022Nice clean park, with a fair number of semi-permanent mobile homes/park models here, so not a lot of sites for RVs passing through. The roads are paved but a bit narrow, and the sites are crushed gravel and level with a decent amount of grassy space between sites. We stayed in May 2014. They did have pet weight restriction (35 lbs), so we called since we have two labs and they made an exception because it was their slow season. I'd consider them to be more dog-neutral than dog-friendly. We could not walk your dog through the campground, only in specified dog walk areas. We were placed near the back of the campground since our dogs were over the weight limit. Our closest walking area was actually outside the fenced campground right by the rain runoff for an adjacent street. The front office was friendly and helpful. We'd consider staying here again but will also explore other options in the area first.

Stopped here on our way north for one night, through our Thousand Trails membership. Park is close to I-95 interstate, which made it easy to get in/out. Park seemed to have a lot of long-term residents. Sites were very close together. We stayed during COVID, so we didn't check out any amenities. Nothing special, but ok for a quick layover.

This is the tightest cg we’ve ever been in. Streets so close barely room for camper to get through. Mostly permanent campers. Lots of park model homes you could reach out your window and touch your neighbors place. Folks were very friendly. It was very clean and grounds well kept. The space we were assigned was easier than some to back in to, however a neighbor had to move her car. There were many pull through sites empty during our stay that we could have been assigned and had an easier time getting in. We checked in on Sunday and the office was closed so we had been assigned the space. When questioned about the pull throughs at the office the lady stated that we should have called directly instead of making them online and they would have given us a better place. They more tolerate pets than welcome them. There is NO CABLE and you have to pay for WIFI. didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Also didn’t use the showers but I did use the laundry. Washers and dryers I used worked good and took credit cards for payment. Very clean. But Resort? Nope. Not really close to Space Center or beach but it was the only thing available in the area.

We selected Space Coast due to it's proximity to a bio-luminescence kayaking trip we've been wanting to do. The park is only 15 minutes from the kayak launch so that was perfect. The location is right of I-95 so it's convenient.
Now the backing into your spot can be almost impossible with a 35 ft. 5th wheel. we lucked out and the site next to us didn't have anyone home at the time but I still had my bumper about 6 inches from a parked SUV across the street from us while backing in. This was by far the tightest RV park I've experienced. For the most part you park your truck/car parallel with the street in front of your RV. There isn't any other place to park really. This coupled with a very narrow road makes for a real parking challenge and I know how to back my rig up.
We worked from our RV during the week and used T-Mobile which had a few drop outs but was manageable. Had to use the lower bands and sacrifice speed to get something usable/stable. Even though the tower was only about 2 miles from us we had to use our 2xMIMO antenna on a 20 ft flag pole to maintain a stable signal.
We settled on Band 12 with 4.17 Mbps down and 3.71 up for work and other streaming. Not ideal but doable and no issue with MS Teams with both of us working.
Here's the info on the tower:
Bands: 2, 12,66,71
Cell Tower: 70232-11
Direction: SW
The park has dog areas but they aren't fenced in so your always on leash. I will say all the sites and common areas had really nice St. Augustine grass and were very well maintained. Didn't use the pool but it looked very nice. There are a large majority of full timer's there.
The sites are mostly limestone rock with concrete patio areas and grass. Our had a picnic table. Just not a lot of space per site.

Space Coast RV Resort is part of the Trails Collection under the Thousand Trails umbrella. In this video, we provide you a walking tour of Space Coast RV Resort in Rockledge, Florida. We really like the area, variety of shopping and restaurants, and things to do in the local area. Space Coast RV Resort is worthy of repeat stays and we will be back. To locate the free public beach access shown in this video just type “Public Dog Park and Cocoa Beach Access” into Google Maps and hit enter. This campground had no additional fees with my Thousand Trails package.
This campground has park models in addition to RVs. The grounds were clean and well kept. They have trash pick up at your site daily (9:00 am) except Sunday. Staff was very nice, and we were Escorted to our site. Some of the roads are pretty narrow and one way only. Other roads are a bit wider and two way.
Hook ups at site B15 worked well. Site was decent size. It did back up to restrooms and showers, but that was not an issue.
They did have a pool, restrooms, showers, and a laundry room. Good Verizon signal. Able to talk, text, search internet and stream videos.
Location was great for exploring Kennedy Space Center. Would stay here again.

We stayed a week for my sons baseball tournament. The majority of the park is full timers. The lots are small and there is poor drainage when raining….our entire site was under water. The laundry room is fantastic with a ton of washers and dryers. Small pool but okay. No playground and lack of large space for kids. It was quite and close by to things. Wouldn’t stay for a “vacation” but would return for a baseball tournament.

I got a free one year thousand trails membership with the purchase of our fifth wheeler. No campgrounds near us so we were excited to be able to use it on our trip to Florida. It is clearly a full timers set up and works for that. But for a 1 week stay I would pass. Towing our 32’ 5wheel to the site was an adventure in its own right. NARROW roads with vehicles parked on Tiny lots that had to park diagonally. Literally <6” of clearance in spots. Was assigned spot V18 near the entrance. It the only way out is across the media. Our escort Mikey said, “ well, as long as it doesn’t rain you should be able to get out.” Then took our pug puppy to a area behind us and a Karen in a park model burst out the door to in form me it was her backyard (it wasn’t). Will report back at the end of the week but seriously will not be renewing my Thousand Trails membership if this is what to expect.
