Peaceful and wooded. Lots of shade. Sites all have generous sized level concrete pads. Fire rings, BBQ and picnic tables. Sites 18 is great next to the beach. Site 19 is good too but most of them are good. The staff at Wingo are friendly and accommodating.
Laundry room is very small. 1 washer and dryer. $1 each. Bathrooms/showers are clean.
Cell service is good.
Small commissary on base a few miles away.
Engine testing facility on base is very cool to see.
Russell Stover store in nearby Manchester is a highlight for me. They have an extensive selection of treats and ice cream. My favorite is the 3 lb box of bloopers for $14.

Really nice, quiet and beautiful park with views off the water. Fish are not to be eaten, due to contamination but catch and release is fun from the boats docks.

Laundry room with one washer and dryer for $1 each and clean bathrooms.

We stayed here for a week in mid may. The campsite has recently been expanded to more than 30 sites. Full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service. The camp host Chris is very friendly and accommodating. The offer free use of laundry and have a great library of DVD's and books that you can check out on the honor system. Connectivity for Verizon only but they do offer free WiFi in the library. The roads to the camp are a bit challenging for a big rig, ours is 40', but well worth it once you arrive.

Great location to visit both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.

This park does not have fire pits, but you can use a propane or self-contained fire pit if you bring one. You’re not supposed to burn any fire on the ground here, but they provide barbecues for that purpose.

There are no signs in the park about this, it’s only mentioned in the rules that are sent in your confirmation email 🤣 you know the ones that nobody reads. They’re too busy looking looking for their campsite.🌵
