Great state park away from everything. No cell service at the campground but there is limited wifi. Good hiking trails. Our favorites were the Spicewood Springs and the Gorman Falls trail. We did the Gorman Falls trail on my 65th birthday. Should have done it on my 25th birthday.

We stayed at the campground and were very impressed. Nice level clean spots. Laundry was very close. We booked our site online so we had a reserved site. There are walking trails from the campground to the tunnel but it is definitely a hike.

Ok place to stay. Sites very up level. Appears to be lots of full timers. Staff was nice. Easy to get to from Knoxville.

Nice Thousand Trails campground, Our site was very unlevel but we had a good view of the water, Miniature golf not in good shape. Lots of sites with bags over electric boxes. Nice deck behind activity center.

Nice campground beside the river. Tent camping and cabins on the river. There is NO cell phone service. Our site was not level but not too bad. Very nice customer service from staff. If coming down Blue Ridge Parkway from Rockfish Gap take highway 56 (Crabtree Falls Highway) at Tye River Gap toward Montebella. If you are coming from the south turn right (very small sign across from Ranger Station) onto Whetstone Ridge just past the Blue Ridge Parkway Ranger Station. Turn left at the T. Turn right at the next T and you will be on 56 (Crabtree Falls Highway).

Very nice Thousand Trails campground. Sites were level. There are some nice waterfront sites. The miniature golf course was one of the best we have seen in a Thousand Trails campground.

Nice clean beach. We parked close to the King Neptune statue which made it only a one block walk to the beach. Great place to walk or ride a bike down the beach.

This is probably the best Thousand Trails campground that we have stayed at. Very clean. Level spots. Short drive to Colonial Williamsburg.
