We absolutely enjoyed this trip. First, plan on making this an all day event if you have young kids. This is a 15 mile one way bike route on a slight downhill on an old rail route. You have a choice to ride up hill 2% grade or catching a bus back for some money.

You travel in several deep rail tunnels where head lamps are needed. The view is stunning. Nature and local wildlife will be seen. One tunnel is wet. That said it is supper important you have mud guards if you are towing kids. You will get muddy like you just laid brick. The mud is very wet not soft and sticky. Imagine the second it dries it is powder that dust off you.

Continue the trial an read all the signs to learn the history. Don’t forget to stop by the town Wallace for local craft brew and see “the center of the universe”!

Absolutely worth it. Not that the first tunnel is wet so your bike will spray a lot of water. Wish they clarified this as we had tagalong bikes are our kids faces and bodies were all muddy. Other then that it was great! Worth every bit.

I wished I did more research on this one. Many of the cave were being worked on and the cave I wanted to see had to be reserved for a tour. What a waste... so we spent our time drove in an hr from the gate to see the canyon. I am sure if we had more time this trip would of been awesome. We did learn a great deal at the visitors gate. Remember you still have to drive in 1hr then hike to the caves.

It is a fun little place to get beads and a photo. I kind of find it a little expensive as some say. We went during the summer. Be prepared to drip sweat for that short walk. This place is really in the middle of nowhere.

You could spend half a day hear and enjoy it. There is so much to do. The gondola is part of the regular price. Zip line is like 45.00 and the wing is expensive too but all worth the once in a lifetime experience.

If you have children they have a nice park with water features, slides, and carousel all part of the experience with the park passes.
We spent a few hours there enjoying the view. A

This waterfall you cannot miss. It is right on the highway with signs. Again road tripper sent us elsewhere. Also GPS/ wireless is hard in this area to connect.

The hike is short and easy. The drought this year left the waterfall dry. Nonetheless it was a nice break and beautiful sight.

Definitely do your homework. In order to tour the cave dwellings you have to have a guide! I didn not know this. Also there are two caves you could go in and exore without guides but the tree house cave I believe it is called was closed. So we didnt get a chance to see it too. Apparently the cave is collapsing so they are restructuring it.

It took a good hour to drive in from the main gate. And most caves are 30 min away from each other. This is a trip for a week or weekend and longer visits. We had fun and enjoyed the history. Just wished he had more time to get a tour.

This was interesting... we had to pay per head I believe $5.00-10.00 just to walk over to the 4 corners land survey marker and snap a picture.

If you had not already did your Native shopping it is step for them to sell jewelry and Native souvenirs.

Other than that the cost was not worth it, unless you had to prove you were in 4 places at one time. Ha!

We visited the south rim. It was beautiful but hot and humid. Watch for those weather changes during the summer months. Take time to check out the IMAX! It was worth it. Any my 5 and 7 year old enjoyed the movie. You can pick up 1/2 price tickets from any hotel or tourist outlet.
