stopped here just because needed a place. It was surprisingly quiet for the location. The bathrooms were very clean. Friendly staff. Great wifi. It's a parking lot.

1) bathrooms are not swept or cleaned. they often don't even have toilet paper. the only handicapped stall in area 1 shoots water up like a fountain. it continues to be used so you can imagine what's all over toilet and floor.
2) the exit gate is closed all day. you must speak to a gate attendant for them to open it. sometimes they leave and put up a sign that they'll be back and you just sit at the gate waiting to get out! i can understand coming in, but going out?
3) park ranger i encountered 3 times is surly and disrespectful.
4) camp hosts resent being approached for help.
5) sites are nice but not worth it when there are so many wonderful and welcoming ACE campgrounds

If I ever am campground host, I want it to be here. Friendly staff, cleanest bathrooms ever, enormous space between sites, accessible to any person or rig, great trails and beauty. The best.

Beautiful lakefront sites with lots of space between sites. Many are far from level, however. Very cold bathroom.

Access is tricky and I only have a class B van! I scraped my running board on rock wall running beside road. Very clean and there are no choices in area.

Large state park. Campsites very far from lake. Bathrooms are OK. Dense forest is the best part.

Unlike Mustang State Park up the road, it's a short walk to the beach. No cars on the beach here so it's much cleaner than more south. The sites are close together. Many people run their generators nonstop. From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. is allowed. They aren't the quieter RV generators either. It's a shame because the sites are so close that you can hear the surf when generators are off.

Stayed here summer 2016 in Sept. so was empty and quiet. Great staff. Noise rating is low because someone ran generator 24/7.

was there in late Sept and many loops closed. Very nice at that time of year.
