It's still there. We drove clear thru town and almost missed it but there it was parked outside the teen center
You will see it as you approach the Montrose exit off I90. It's in the middle of cows and cornfields. Definitely worth a stop. We met the artist who showed us a picture of a huge horse sculpture he's working on at another location. The field is mowed so you can easily walk amongst the art. He's also included signs with poems, anecdotes and quips that relate to the individual sculpture. Cost is $8 adults
You can see it from the Hwy. look a lot like the DC Washington Monument
The jail is only one aspect of the town of Boonville. There are lots of other old/historic buildings on and off Maim St that are worth seeing. Also can park to the left of the Katy Bridge entrance where the war memorial is and walk 1/2 across the bridge to get nice view of Missouri River and train trestle bridge.
Easy on and off from Hwy 70. He's adorable and fun.
The wind chime is interesting and you can pull a rope to get the knocker to move from tube to tube hear their sound. As added bonus the World's Largest Rocking Chair is complete and across the street.
