I arrive just before sunset and was pleased to see that the campground was not crowded even on a Saturday night. I shared it with one other family. The bathroom facilities appear to be new, and there is potable water available. I had no trouble with Wi-Fi and I got to listen to the lowing of the cows to put me to sleep.

I arrived by 3 pm and easily found a reasonably private spot with a view. It was a little difficult to put up a tent because the ground is so rocky, and too rocky for a big rig. There are latrines nearby but they were disgusting. Some younger folks like to play their music loud enough for others to hear but it didn’t last forever.

I arrived at Nehalem Falls Campground in Oregon just as the sun was going down. It was very quiet and feels very secluded. They have 15 campsites, two latrines, one hand pump for water, a garbage dumpster and gray water dumps. The cost is $20 a night and there is a camp host on site. The sites are quite roomy and about half of them back up to the river or stream. It took care of all my needs and it was quite clean. I would stay here again. This is not the kind of campsite you would likely find a lot of small children.

I arrived about 4 and had no problem finding a spot. It’s basically a parking lot on the river. Very rocky not really accessible to the water. There was a rather sketchy guy who looks like he’s been there a long time. .. The spot I chose had been used recently by someone who emptied their cooler of food (including raw meat) and just left it in the grass instead of putting it in the dumpster. I put on my gloves and got rid of it. No toilet facilities that I saw… of course I did not look around much because I was avoiding the sketchy guy. It probably a great spot for fishermen, and one nighters. Oh and trains! At least five through the night each blowing the horn….
