We were there in the heat of July and all 7 of us enjoyed it. The informational video in the air conditioning was nice and gave good back ground about the fort. The kids loved climbing around the fort and exploring the rooms. We were there for 2 hours and saw everything we wanted to see.

Don't let the outside fool you. The food is wonderful, and the service was great. There were 8 of us and we tried most items on the menu, and didn't find any we didn't like.

The aquarium is small, but the kids really enjoyed the scavenger hunt they provided. The hike around the marsh land was a lot of fun. It was low tide and we saw tons of little crabs and other animals.
