Took a short walk along the beach when passing through Indiana this summer. We didn't stay long, but it was a nice way to relax and get out of the car for a while. I especially enjoyed the view - we could just see Chicago on the horizon! What an amazing surprise!
Had a great stay here! A thunderstorm hit during our stay, and spent about half an hour in the car waiting for all the wind and rain to pass. Because our tipi flaps were open, some rain got in. :/ However, other than the bad weather, we had a nice stay. The sunrise was gorgeous over the ridges. Moab was a short drive, and there were many different options to eat or shop. Arches National Park was a quick drive over from the campsite. I would recommend to anyone feeling adventurous.
We went here to see the CSO perform Tchaikovsky. Had lawn seats - after seeing Cleveland at Cuyahoga the evening before, we were surprised at how huge this venue was! Ended up in overflow parking (arrived later than anticipated due to traffic - get there extra early!), and the signs weren't incredibly clear about where to catch the shuttle. However, it was a beautiful venue, and now that I know a bit more, I would certainly return.
I stayed with a friend in a private room for one night. It was our first ever stay in a hostel - I will do it again! The view from the roof was wonderful, the kitchen/common area was welcoming and lovely. We were surprised to find some beds in our room did not have bedding on them, but it wasn't a huge deal. Staff was friendly and helpful - an incident-free stay. Thanks!
