The navigation takes you down a very rocky dirt forest road. Not suggested for smaller vehicles. N3ver made it to the barns, sad face. Beautiful area though....

Pretty neat little stop, but beware the bugs!

I couldn't find any signs that specifically indicated the "guard of the plains" however there were a couple of memorials and a historical marker located at this rest stop.
