It was nice to stretch my legs a bit and climb all over the rocks. They were much bigger than I expected.
I think I was expecting more from a state park. Five acres with two interesting rock formations. I could've skipped this stop and been fine with it.
I thought it was worth the detour to scramble over the rock formations. It's just so random to have flat farmland and then these huge masses of rock coming out of the earth. It was interesting to drive in the middle of a herd of cows to get to Castle Rock and the Badlands. Check out Monument Rocks and the Keyhole if you have time!
Gorgeous! Really makes you feel how big the world is around you. Although, it could not look more different than the Grand Canyon, it made me feel just as insignificant.
