This is a fantastic RV stop for anyone taking long drives across the state of TX. We were headed to NM from Houston and found this gem. They even had a very clean dog park. The hookups were easy to use. You could tell this was not your average park, as very high end motor homes were parked here.

I highly recommend this dude ranch for a 2 hr trail ride via horse back on you way out (or in) of Yellowstone. We loved the friendliness of our guide, the gorgeous views, the horses, and did I mention the views?! We did this with our 8 and 10 yr old kids who loved this and was the highlight of our two week long road trip through Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Arches National Parks! This was everyone’s top experience.

This was a lovely campground site. No electrical hookups, but there was a dish cleaning station and bathrooms for each loop, as well as water and dump stay at the campground entrance. Felt very “deep woods” while still being very close to other campers and to the Village. We were very close to the Canyon north and south rim and also Hayden Valley, where many animals come out at dusk and dawn. Great location for all things Yellowstone!

This is a huge camping complex, managed by Xantera, not recreation.gov. You check in at the campground station upon arrival to be assigned to a campsite. We camped in the RV and made our reservation based on the length of our motorhome, as not all sites as the same size. The site did not have any hookups, but was within a very short walk to a bathhouse with a dish-cleaning sink, which was as helpful for cleaning up after meals! We were shaded by large pines and had a nice fire ring and picnic table and enough space to layout a tent if so desired. They really pack folks in here, but it didn’t feel cramped.

We enjoyed staying here, albeit there were no views but the campsite, but we were very close in proximity to Old Faithful and West Thumb geyser Basin. I felt like the risk of bears is slightly lower at this campground, but still something to be on the lookout for, as wildlife is all around you in Yellowstone.
Also, this probably goes without saying, but there was basically no cell service- could not even get a text out with one bar from AT&T.

We reserved a tent cabin for our family of 4 for one night. The cabin had four fill-down style bunk beds and a wood burning stove for heat. It was still pretty chilly in mid June with temperatures reaching 40 F in the early morning but warmed up quickly with the sunrise. We enjoyed the open space and rented tandem kayaks for 2 hours on Lake Jackson from Colter Bay Marina, which was a couple minute drive from the campsite. There were water spigots for every four tent cabins to share and a huge bear-box at each site to store food and supplies, as well as a fire ring and large covered picnic table. We were surprised by a vixen fox who checked out our cabin area at dusk, but she didn’t bother us. She was probably looking for food left out, but thankfully we had already cleaned up and our everything away. I’d recommend for anyone wanting to sleep outdoors but wants a little added comforts of a cabin.

Absolutely recommend. We took the scenic float trip and saw numerous bald eagles and felt safe while socially distant from the family who shared our enormous raft with us and the rafting guide. He was very knowledgeable and took the 1000 questions from our kids in stride while safely navigating the rapids of the Snake River.

Stayed here in mid June and were pleasantly surprised with the view. We camped at site 7 with a 25 ft class C Motorhome, which had views of the water and thankfully the bugs weren’t bad. There was a small path to get down to the waters edge which other campers frequently used; good fishing spot. No electrical, but has water spouts and a dumping station. Would stay here again when passing through from Moab to Jackson Hole. A great midway point on our family road trip!
