Nice long sites. The drought has really hurt this place. Very dry, grass is all dead, and there are a few stickers that got into my dogs foot. Great wifi and cell coverage is good. They used a white gravel everywhere here, and it has become pulverized into a chalky white which gets messy and onto everything, and flies around which we really didn’t like.

Brand new (one year) RV park that is wide open between site with level gravel sites. Starting to plant grass between sites with new little trees going in. WiFi is excellent. Two really nice laundry and bathhouses. Pool, pickle ball court, playground and more. Nice dog park with area to bathe the pups. No problems getting satellite reception. Lots to see and do nearby.

This is a pretty big and fairly new park. They are ready for you at check-in and are very efficient. The park has mostly pull-thrus with some back-ins on the perimeter. The back-ins appear to be mostly long term. In fact, most of the park is filled with long term residents but all the sites are neat and tidy. There is no landscaping at the moment other than a few small samplings. We were in the back and were one of the rows with no grass between sites just dirt. The sites are plenty long and there is fare spacing between sites. From our site, we heard very little road noise from I-20. There are train whistles but they are a bit off in the distance. It is windy! There is a pool, pickleball court, horseshoes, and a small playground. Direct satellite worked fine. The WII FI works pretty good but slowed down considerably at times. The biggest ding is the entire park is covered in white gravel so you will get dusty.

We only stayed one night, but this park is nice, quiet and close to everything. Friendly staff. I20 is right in front of the park but I was surprised that we didn’t hear more hwy noise. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this park.

Spotless bathrooms with great showers bigger than most hotels. Very level pull through with modern hook ups. Great cable TV with over 30 Channels. Wi Fi not good for streaming but ok otherwise. Friendly staff. One bonus was elliptical and treadmill with some weights. Nice pool but still winter so w didn't use. Overall, a bit pricey but very nice.

We were originally going to stay here for 2 nights after a horrible experiences in Livingston and Waco. We wound up extending twice and staying for 2 full weeks. It was, bar none, the nicest RV park we've ever stayed in.

I suggest calling ahead for accurate directions rather than trusting your GPS or Google. The road that it is on is a one-way, and the GPS put us on that road AFTER the RV park so we had to call and then loop around and try again. If you call they will tell you the right place to exit.

Sites are very long and almost perfectly level. You'll need your jacks for stability only.

It is very close to 20, but surprisingly there is very moderate road noise especially inside the RV. It was only loud when the wind changed direction one day, but in the 2 weeks we were there it was surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the road.

Power/water/sewer hookups are in great condition; this park is not very old and it shows.

There are a few long-termers here but they are not allowed to turn their sites into junkyards so it was not a problem.

They have stables for horses, and horse-trailer parking. This was used a few days during our stay, and the people with horses were very polite and cleaned up the stable area. So if you're worried about smells, don't be.

The bathrooms are individual units, each with sink/counter, toilet, and residential-size shower. There are 2 bathhouse facilities with 4 individual bathrooms each. They are cleaned twice a day (!) and guests actually do a good job of keeping them tidy in between cleanings. Each bathhouse has one ADA bathroom unit.

The laundry rooms are also pristine and include a long countertop for folding. 4 washers (one a front loader) and 6 dryers. $1.50 per load each. Bring quarters or get rolls at the office (no change machine). There is no sign saying how long each machine runs, but the washers were about 35 minutes and dryers about 45.

There is a nice, fenced dog park - not huge but big enough. There appears to be some kind of leak from the bath house as along the wall it is always wet. If it rains or they use the sprinklers, there is water/mud at the entrance. There is a bench for sitting, and poo-shovels and a low trash can if you don't want to (or can't) bend over.

Lauren in the office is a gem. She was extremely accommodating of our multiple extensions of our stay and was fantastic to work with.

The office will accept packages for guests!

There is a local propane truck that comes through every Thursday, or by appointment other days. He filled up our motorhome propane tank, and also will drop off bottles for fifth wheels/traiilers.

There is a local RV wash service (AAA) that came out (referred by the office) and hand-washed our motorhome. You can get their info at the front desk. Their prices are very reasonable and they did a great job.

WiFi is strong - repeaters throughout the park. It does bounce you out sometimes and you have to log back in via a 3rd party site, but for free WiFi we had no complaints. Also there is strong Verizon signal so when we needed to use our MiFi that worked well.

We will definitely stay here again when in Abilene. This park is an example for others of how an RV park *should be* managed and maintained.

The RV Park is large and spots are spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were the best I’ve ever seen and put many hotels to shame. I will stay here again any time my travels bring me through Texas.

Wifi: Verizon - 10 down, 40 up / ATT - 60 down, 30 up......We read reviews on Whistle Stop and everyone said they have the nicest bathrooms. I’m here to tell you that OH MY GOD THEIR BATHROOMS ARE AMAZING. We would have paid for the bathrooms alone. They are individual bathrooms like you have in a house, they’re clean, the showers are big with actual showerheads, awesome water pressure and the water actually gets warm. It was a dream. The sites weren’t overly close together, office folk seemed nice enough, and it’s a hot minute to get on the highway. Were we to need to go back to Abilene we would stay there again.

The bathhouse and laundry were really nice. $1.50 each load and the jeans and towels actually dried!
The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The camp store had things we needed!
Very clean except some could do a better job cleaning up after their 4 legged friends.
Had a little noise from the highway but could ignore it pretty well.
Overall I would indeed recommend it again.

Everything was nice and new. Sites are level and there is good distance between sites (for a commercial park). Some of the hardware (picnic table, playground equipment) was quite new but not really top of the line as far as rugged goes. If they replace it as it wears this will continue to be a great place.

Most sites are pull through. It’s right off the interstate but we did not notice any noise.

Great amenities. Big pool, corn hole, dog park, playground...even a golf practice net. Well stocked store. Great wine selection. Really friendly folks.

We’ll be back here in a heartbeat.
