The playground pictures used on this platform are NOT currently what the rv park has. Basically non-existent.

One of the oldest KOAs we’ve stayed at. It looked abandoned and hasn’t been updated in years. While the price was reasonable, the quality of ‘amenities’ was lacking. Very old dryers near front office and the playground was sad. Dog park was fenced but no bench to sit down in while the dogs play.

Nice campground close to Carlsbad Caverns NP. Our kids loved the heated indoor pool s and I loved the newly remodeled, clean bathrooms. So important to us!
Laundry was expensive ($7/wash and dry for 1 load), camp guests don’t pick up dog poop in dog parks and the highway out front is very loud early morning thru the day.
Overall, we were very pleased with this park and would stay here again.

Impossible to book with these folks.
Online booking site (Clear Skies) says everything is sold out. Called them and sent an email and they said they can’t book indirectly. Direct Bud’s RV number has a ‘full’ mailbox.

Average KOA with minimal ‘extras’. Rv spots are tight and most awnings hit trees. Our kids loved the jump pad but that’s all that was really here for kids. Laundry is ‘pay be credit cardI’ only and 1/2 the machines are out of order.
Staff was friendly. For a KOA, facilities could use a serious deep clean and remodel.

Best military FamCsmp ever!
Huge sites/pads around the circles, lots of dog waste stations, clean individual showers/bathrooms and .75 washer/dryers. Our kids had a blast riding bikes and playing basketball. We stayed 5 days and didn’t want to leave.

Such a cool place to stay but right on the highway so noisy at night.
The Raptor Show was really cool and so informative. The trainer does a great job really getting to know her birds and they are treated so well.
Our kids loved Bedrock City. Some parts are definitely weathered but the whole place was put together in a realistic way for the Flintstones.

What a great KOA! We had the end party site and it was a bit tight for our 42ft 5th Wheel. Very CLEAN campground and bathrooms. Our kids loved the heated saltwater pool (in Oct). We went to the casino Buffett and that was a great treat as well. Wish we lived closer so we could visit this KOA more often.

Decent wooded campground but definitely gets there during sunlight because the sites are not labeled great. The camp hosts are really nice but extremely strict. Be on your best behavior as both the camp host and forest rangers make continuous drive-bys all day long.

One of the worse military Fam/Travel camps we have ever stayed at. Even with a pull -through reservation, they still put our 38foot 5th wheel in a back in while every pop-up camper gets a pull through. Our 30amp electrical plug was installed upside down. Front office said they had to put in a work order to fix it and gave us a plastic bag to cover it so the rain wouldn’t short out our connection.

All sites are EXTREMELY overgrown and branches/vines hit our camper (in our site and while driving through). We asked to borrow clippers and they stated we can’t cut our own branches due to endangered species in the area! They said they would put in another work order to trim branches. We went to the bx and bought our own sheers to clip the branches ourselves. Meanwhile millions of pine needles fell onto our camper and was awful trying to clean off our slides. Even the main dump area is covered with trees and will for sure scrape your camper. No need to allow such overgrowth in a campsite that charges fees.

2 bathrooms near us were condemned and we had to drive to bathrooms/laundry. One shower was inoperable and change machine was broken in laundry room.

Save yourselves the headache and stay on McChord FamCsmp. You’ll have a much more enjoyable experience.
