Absolutely cannot beat the atmosphere of this campground. Quiet, majestic. Very unique. Bathhouses were very clean. Within walking distance to gift shop and food. We really enjoyed our stay here!
We loved this campground. A great location to check out Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, Black Hills National Forest, and so much more. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The American Flag hiking trail in the campground was perfect for our family and our kids loved it! Make sure to call before you arrive for the best directions on how to get here. Google maps may take you down roads that are unfit for a camper. We called the front desk when we were about 30 mins out and they directed us no problem!
Absolutely loved this campground! Perfect location! It’s rare to find full-hookup sites in the National Parks, but Headwaters has many! Peaceful, quiet. Very friendly staff and easy check-in. Camp store and gas station very close within walking distance. We will definitely be camping here again!
