The Trail of the Cedars, one of two wheelchair accessible trails in Glacier National Park, is a loop hike that begins and ends on the Going-To-The-Sun Road, located 5.5 miles east of the Lake McDonald Lodge. At roughly the half-way point you'll reach one of the highlights of the trail, a footbridge over Avalanche Creek that provides commanding views of the lower Avalanche Gorge. As you continue along the loop hike, the trail now proceeds over to the western half of the loop. The pathway along this stretch is paved. Discover this 0.9-mile loop trail near Lake Mc Donald, Montana. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 18 min to complete.

The Alice Beck Cabin, also known as the John T. Robinson Cabin, is a recreational cabin on the eastern shore of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, Montana. The cabin was built around the year 1910, which was the same time that a number of other summer camps were built, and was also prior to the establishment of the park itself. Once the park was designated, the cabin has remained as a private inholding.

Stay here, and you're just a mile from Glacier Park and the entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road, the 52-mile highway that climbs across Glacier National Park's spectacular alpine spine. The view is almost as good from your campsite here at Glacier's eastern edge, where towering peaks frame the St. Mary River and Lake. Pick up lunch fixings at the KOA grocery store and gift shop, then board a Glacier tour bus at the campground entrance. If you want to give your dog a day off while you explore, your hosts offer pet sitting and kennel boarding. Or relax at the KOA with full espresso bar while you hone your putting skills, play bocce or enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub complex. Rent a kayak and explore the wilds of Lower St. Mary Lake and River. Pizza and food service items available daily from mid-June to September. Pool/Hot tub: June 15 - September 10. Max pull thru: 75 feet. Your hosts: Will & Susan Brooke.
