Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 15, 2023Stayed in this campground on our way to West Glacier. There were 16 spots with vault toilets, water, no dump station. We have Verizon, we only had cell service with our we Boost. We are 30 ft Class A Motorhome and we could probably fit in 1/2 of them. A very lush forest and the spots were spread out. We were there in July and the temperature was great. About 15 miles from the town East Glacier.
A couple of down falls were the bugs and how close you were to hwy 2 and the train tracks. There were so many pesty flies and of course mosquitos we could not sit outside for very long. Since then we bought a screen house canopy.
We would stay there again.

Great spot if you’re unable to get into Two Medicine. No services, no cell service, however, was able to get 2 Verizon bars at Lewis and Clark monument directly next door.

It is a very nice campground, but $20 seemed overpriced. No trash service, old pit toilets, camp and table pads in need of a sweep, leaking faucets and some weed eating needed to be done.
On a positive note, easy access, paved roads and fairly level, double wide parking pads. Our table was new looking, almost with an epoxy faux granite coating. There was a hiking trail out of the campground.
We would have no problems bringing our 5th wheel here. The loop to the left had longer parking pads, height clearance was pretty good and corners not too sharp.
And then there were the trains . . .

Next to Highway & RR so noisy; ugly drinking water- full of rust & sediment; campsites need attention & vault toilets have some pretty unique “decorations”! The ONLY redeeming feature was a site was available & good for solar- #5…. Would never want to return!

7/15/2023, $20 a night, half-price if you have a National Park pass. NO DUMPSTATION. I know that Campendium and the park website says there is, but there is not. Water looks clean. There was a problem in the water supply line for the park which may have contributed to the bad water report in an earlier review, but that has been fixed. There is no trash cans either. We made frequent trips to East Glacier to get rid of our trash. Nice picnic tables! And each site has a fire ring. The camp host is very nice.
Summit Campground is beside the rest area. I noticed a number of campers staying overnight in the rest area parking lot. And in the wide dirt area between the road and the RR track, buy closer to the road for free. We are staying a week, so we chose the campground.

17 campsites high in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. A 3-mile spur trail connects the campground to the Continental Divide Scenic Trail, and on into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Adjacent Memorial Square commemorates Theodore Roosevelt and the Blackfeet tribe with a miniature Washington Monument.
