This place was breathtaking. It was my childrens first trip to the gulf and it was very memorable. We spent the day plaing in the sand, making castles and searching for shells. We got to wade a bit (water was nice) and capped the day off by watching a pod of dolphins from one of the piers. We will absolutely come back.
This was a fun little gem in the heart of downtown. A quick tour packs in a lot of history. Both my kids (8 & 10) enjoyed all the displays. My daughter (8) was stoked to visit the place where the Louisana Purchase was signed.
This place was awesome!! I took my kids as a field trip and I could barelt drag my history nut son out at closing time. Next time we're in the area we will definitely be revisiting.
Such an awesome relaxing beach. It was a little crowded but in the middle of summer that's to be expected. Plenty of changing space and the facilities were well maintained. If the weather had been cooler and we'd had more time I would have loved to check out the hiking trails.
Fun, funky little place. My kids enjoyed peeking at all the vintage paraphernalia and loved getting their pictures with some of the stand ups.
We stopped here on our way through the state and we had a GREAT time! This is an out of the way gem if you're looking for a dip into nature. It's small and secluded and totally serene. I could have stayed all day just relaxing and enjoying the water.
We went last summer and our kids had a blast!! Water was awesome, trails were great, park was super clean. Can't wait till we can go again!
