This park is extremely loud with the highway right next to it and the on ramp. The pool is gone Fake grass Not a lot of amenities for the price.

We stayed here to visit with friends and check out this part of Texas. It is really conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Park staff were great. Always friendly and helpful. I like that they are always patrolling the park. The restrooms by us were only cold water that is a hard spray. Not very busy in January. Lots of walking trails. Would be a great spot for bird watching. Camp spots were close to level.

We arrived the first part of February, on a very blustery day. Paul came out to greet us and showed us where to park, and we got settled right in. Small park off the beaten path, quiet country road. The park has a common area with picnic tables and a fire pit. Small covered area. Great spot to get together with the neighbors and visit. The owners live on site. Great people. Paul and Debbi put on a crawfish boil that was unbelievably tasty.

You are located about 25 minutes from Corpus Christi, for shopping and eating. You are
less than 10 minutes from Port Aransas and the beach. Rockport is also close.

Great park off the beaten path, that makes it nice and quiet. Very well kept and clean. The laundry/exercise/bathroom shower is very clean.
Jack and JoAnn that run it are very nice. They meet you with a golf cart and then escort you to your site. They tell you all the information you need and some about the town. They have sleds you can borrow when you go out to the sand dunes. If we are ever back this way we will definitely stay here again.

We got a spot that had a concrete pad. Used the shower facilities, shower is small and no place to put anything. There is hook on the wall just outside the shower. Didn’t use the laundry. Picnic table at every space and grass. Lots to do around the Cody area. Would stay here again

I booked this as a one night stay as we were just passing through. Right next to the interstate, so there for noisy. The park itself is quiet. Spots are really close together. Staff was friendly.

We travel all around the country. I picked this campground because of the location. Great choice. Quiet all the time, river to wade in. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Friendly hosts. Even when it’s full it’s still quiet.

We stayed here for 10 days on our way to Texas. Very nice and quiet campground. The only thing that bothers me is the litter along the roads around the campground. Never seen the host out doing anything, always washing their clothes and hanging them out to dry. Why can’t they pick up the litter? Is that not part of their job? All of the COE parks we have stayed at you always see the hosts out talking to the campers and making sure the park is well taken care of. It also says that part of the campground is closed for construction but there is nothing going on. It’s just closed.

We arrived on a day that they were closed. Wendy had already sent me a text to let me know which site was ours. Might be noisy with highway noise during the day but it really quiets down in the evening and all night. The Bitterroot River is right beside the campground. They have a pond with tons of fish in it. No fishing or swimming. Cool to go and watch them. Drove up to the town of Darby. Cool little town. Got a few pictures driving by the Chief Joseph Ranch/ Yellowstone Ranch. They were filming while we were there. Smoke was bad from the forest fires. Very clean laundry, restroom/ shower. Great little store and gas station. They also sell propane. Will definitely be back. Beautiful country

I’m not good at saying a lot of things about a campground. But this one was different in a good way.
We belong to the Renegade family and they had a small gathering (43 coaches) at this cg for the 2024 eclipse. The family that owns the campground went above and beyond for us. They contacted their church to have a service, they got with shop owners in a small town and they opened for business on a day that they are not normally open. They also have a little coffee shop that was just in the early days and it was good coffee. Big Creek runs right behind it. It would be fun in the summer to wade and play in. They have farm animals and you can buy farm fresh eggs from them. If ever in the area again will definitely stay again.
