It was quiet, but only about 6 spaces for RV’s making it a little tight. The parking lot slopes up toward the restaurant, down away. My trailer is high on the front, so it worked better pointing the truck downward and away from the restaurant.

$10 is a typical rate for dumping with non-potable water for cleaning only. There is no drinking water. The only gripe that I have is that the hinged cap covering the dump-hole is on backwards. That is, instead of opening toward the rig it opens away forcing the dump hose to enter from the opposite side. It was a bit of a hassle because a 90-degree elbow get pushed at an angle preventing the fitting from entering the hole directly. I was concerned about spillage and had to prop things up for level seal. Also, there were camp sites with 30A and 50A connections for rent; no dump or water except the $10 public station.
7/14/22 - 7/18/22: If it weren't for the burned trees, the view would be super nice. We overlook both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. Here, we're well positioned to drive 20-minutes into the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance north of the town of Grand Lake. Except for the occasional off-road vehicle and the horse flies, it was quiet and enjoyable. Aargh, the flies bite something fierce.

Getting to the dump station was really easy and convenient. It is located on the exit ramp leaving the Welcome Center. The dump lane was blocked by a large orange construction barrel, but I drove around it. Next to the dump station was a sign to call Security to remove the lock. I started walking to the Welcome Cent when a Security Guard met me halfway there; or I could have called. After removing the lock, he stood and watched while I dumped the tanks, but again no water for flushing and/or cleaning. I thanked him, relocked it, and moved on. We stayed 3 nights and it was safe and quiet. The outlying landscaped is nice and peaceful, but the ranch itself has machinery and workshops around. People were friendly, the food was good, but there isn’t anything fancy. We had an electric site only, but there are full-hookup and pull-through sites too. I can say that it is well located for going to Modera and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It served it’s purpose well, and the price was right.

We pulled in on a Monday night with our 34' fifth-wheel trailer. The parking area was grass, reasonably level, a vault toilet nearby, a garbage can, boat ramp, street light, quiet, clean, and enjoyable views. There was no power or water available.

9/29/22 - We read the other reviews, pulled in fromt of the casino doors with our 34’ fifth wheel and asked if overnight parking was still being allowed. We were welcomed to park anywhere on the property in front of the casino. It was very quiet with no disturbances whatsoever. A great stayover spot! Verizon 5G and AT&T 4G were both 4 bars.
6/28/22 - 7/11/22: There are a total of 8 sites here: 1 pull through that has 2 sites, several could accommodate my 34' fifth wheel, most are either for vans or tent camping. The elevation is about 10,300 ft. There is a restroom, otherwise disperse camping with no amenities. Free!

12/22/22-1/1/23: We went to Padre Island in part to avoid the arctic blast that hit all of the northern states, and much of the eastern portion of the US. We thought it would be a nice experience to spend Christmas in a quiet, mild weather place. The temps did get down to freezing a couple of nights but warmed 40-50 at nights and into the mid 60's during the daytime over our 10 day stay. We had the entire beach to ourselves most of the stay with other campers arriving a couple of days before the New Year. The beach was very clean and was patrolled by park rangers and Coast Guard regularly. I was surprised how hard the wet sand was. The sand becomes increasingly softer as it dries-out between 12 hour tides. I backed the rig into the sand dunes, perpendicular
to the ocean, which left about 10' between the high-tide water and the front tires on my truck. Keeping the truck close to the high-tide waterline helped to ensure traction when it was time to leave. When I did leave, I laid-down myt lego-style leveling blocks, 3 long, 2 high, and over-lapping the lower 3, placed at tire level, and the truck in 4 wheel drive (low range) to also help ensure traction. I didn't have any problem whatsoever pulling the 13,000 trailer out of the sand. Verizon 5G was spotty to 1 bar, AT&T was a steady 1 bar. There is a dump station with water a few miles north of the southern beach. Our stay was free with my America the Beautiful park pass. We would stay again.

1/5/22-1/19/22: We stayed two weeks and it was absolutely relaxing. The roads in the sites are a little narrow, and my site a bit uneven, but it was quiet with mild weather. We were in pull-thru site #22 that needed 4” lift under the RV wheels on the left side (lake-side) to level it. Water, 30A power, covered cement picnic table, fire pit, and grill. Verizon 5G was 2 bars, AT&T 4G was 3 bars, and the Mott Park WiFi was 2 bars and slow at times; movies seemed to buffer fine except a couple of times.
Some thoughtless person left the dump station a mess even though there was a hose to spray their spillage into the drain, I left it clean. We only paid $7 per night with my America the Beautiful park pass. Overall, it was nice and we would come back.
