The Lunenburg Board of Trade Campground is located close to the world heritage of old town Lunenburg. These CG is a basic spot to stay for a couple of days to enjoy the life in Lunenburg. Above on the hill you have a stunning view over the back harbour and it is just a few minutes to walk to scenic spots like the Lunenburg waterfront, churches and the dignified atmosphere of the town. The amenities at the CG are low-key but, hey, they exist and they are very clean. If you’re looking for a great and cheap spot to start exploring Lunenburg, here you go.

With a little luck we stayed at Hubbard’s Beach CG & C in August 2016. After a long ride from Sherbrooke we arrived without a reservation and got a lot in the middle of the CG. The private beach was awesome and just a couple of people were there. We really enjoyed the calm water at the sandy oceanfront and our kids loved to run into the flat water. The amenities were clean and tidy, just the little space between the different lots dulled the general impressions. We appreciated these kids friendly spot.

In late July 2016 we stayed at King Neptune Campground. It was a lovely spot close to Peggy’s Cove (which was great, because we had the lighthouse almost to ourselves in the early summer morning), with a stunning view over the ocean. The staff members were always helpful and it was enough room to maneuver the RV. The kids really liked the CG, only the accommodations could need a greater attention. Nevertheless, King Neptune was a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommended this for families.
