This is a great KOA for an overnight. Everything is new, pull thru sites are paved and ours was perfectly level. We came in early April so the water park and small zoo that are near by were closed.

The kids playground is really brand new. Workers finished building it when we were there. It was a very nice playground for the kids.

We use this dump station all the time. It has 2 dump stations next to each other. During the summer they have water to flush tanks. And it easy in and out.

Also, it’s free.

The campground was fine. Normal KOA. Good view of Devils Tower. Good playground. Nice open areas if you are in a tent or on a motorcycle.

I was walking our dog on a leash at dusk, and he was attacked by 2 other dogs who were not on a leash. The owner was very mean and not concerned with what was happening. I was trying to protect my dog (an Australian Shepherd). We had 2 witnesses of what happened. Normally I wouldn’t hold this against the campground (dog owners being dumb), but management did nothing when I reported it. The next day another set of 2 dogs were off leash at another campsite with in 40 yards of us. These dogs were German Shepherd mix and they attacked a very small dog who was on a leash. Once I saw that I put our dog in the truck and we left.

We just took our band new travel trailer on its maiden voyage to this campground. We couldn’t be more happy with the campground. Friendly people all around us. And management was great. We had a 30 amp and water site right by the park. The pool was open and on Saturday you had to make an appointment to go swimming because of COVID. This campground would have had some Covid safe activities. Also, they have a honey wagon if you don’t have full hookup and fill your tanks. $25 to come empty you.

Will definitely come back.

Only downside was no dog park. But not a big deal.

This was a great stop over on our trip out west. The park is close to the interstate but far enough away not to hear it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites had everything you would expect. Good dog park, lots of activities if you have kids.

This campground is in a great location to visit Medora, FDR National Park, and go to the Medora Musical. The campground has everything you need. They added a newer section with is all pull thru FHU no trees (which I like) makes parking easy. Sites were gravel but level. Had a good park for kids. There is a city swimming pool that you can go swim at I believe. It’s just off the driveway of the campground. Maybe a 200 yards from the check in office. We stayed 3 nights and we will stay again if passing thru
