Pretty rest area overlooking the Colorado river, only a few Spots for rv parking just as you come into the rest area, don't pass them by because there are no others rest of the way through

We posted this one a couple years ago when we first stayed here and as abandoned places go this is about what you would expect for an abandoned place. If you're not into abandoned places this location likely won't be for you. Google has it listed as a historic landmark, not sure if that's accurate and the desert is slowly reclaiming it's rightful ownership, the property now managed by the BLM. Buildings and screen are showing a bit more wear than our last visit there's still lots here for the imagination. No need to sneak friends in the trunk this time and best to make your own popcorn, but the current movie showing is likely the same one you last saw at a drive-in. Making out in the back seat is still possible and less likely your friends will be knocking on the back window too!
We managed to roll in with our 40ft coach and tow okay at the entrance by the screen, someone has trenched part of the drive coming in that way but there's a much better (and wider) entrance about center of the drive-in and recommend that point coming in and going, need to dodge some of the many audio posts but not much trouble at all. Good seeing this place again, we stayed several days a couple years ago with no problems, only staying one night this time but we'll be back.
Cheers! Dave & Karen @ OurEndeavor

Great abandoned truck stop, we stayed for a day and overnight. A few trucks came and went but otherwise had the place to ourselves. There are no services but there are two large gravel parking areas large enough to accommodate any size rig. Great sunrises and sunsets. It is an old abandoned truck stop so if you're opposed to boondocking in the middle of nowhere this might not be the place for you but we loved it.- cheers!

Due to the ongoing pandemic the state has closed Valley of fire state park including all services and camogrounds including the dump stations. Not sure when this park or facilities will reopen. We encourage calls or email to state offices and governors to reinforce the need for these services by the full-time RV community. We will try and update if things change.
Safe travels all,

While searching for an overnight boondocking location for our 40ft coach (+toad) we were shocked to find this Casino gem and our first contribution to campendium! The paved and lighted parking lot is huge with plenty of room for parking. The lot is across the street from the casino, don't make the mistake we did and pull into the regular parking by the casino as all rv and semi truck parking is across the street. We planned to just overnight but stayed 2 nights, during our stay the semi trucks were on the other side of the lot and noise was never an issue, the nearest rv to us was 200+ ft away. Up to 3 nights free, overnight stays need to check in with security at the casino but was very easy and security was very friendly. The casino is huge and lots of food options including a buffet, steak house, pizza etc. Free slot play and food discounts if you register for their players club. Roaming security was nice, cell coverage great, digital TV reception 50+, only con was a train goes by the east side now and then and no water or hook ups available. We would and probably will stay here again when in the area.

Traveling to Tucson we decided to stop here for an overnight to visit family close by, handful of RVers left plenty of room but like most Cracker barrel locations it sits right at the off ramp of a major highway, in this case i-10 and like most the stay here is almost unbearably noisy throughout the night and day. Once again we tried the food as well to patronize our gracious host for allowing overnight parking but once again better food and stay almost anywhere else. For us it's time to give up on CB unless there just is no other option, your mileage may vary.

Easy in easy out, really appreciated this dump site for our big rig and free. Fuel prices were great as well. No separate water And this spigot was to close to consider for potable water but thankful for a free dump

So first off the dump station is open but no water is on to the rest area as of yet. We pulled in to this rest stop yesterday and settled in only to discover the overnight parking area is on the far end and not where the entrance is. No semi trucks allowed at this rest area and the rv overnight area was very quiet for the night even with the 6 or 7 rv's here. Picnic tables, charcoal grills and trash cans made it that much more comfortable and a great view of the solar tower made it a little more interesting. Downside is it's a little close to the highway so a little noise but expected. Quiets down at night. Cell service is spotty, 1 bar for t-mobile, AT&T and Verizon. Overall good stay, water would be great.

Nobody has left a review of this dump station so we were left wondering. Well laid out, clean and best of all free. We had no trouble wheeling our 40ft coach in here with toad. Dump and water free, easy in easy out! Cheers

Stayed here one night and it was quiet with only one other RV. During the day this parking lot is pretty cramped but thins out at night. Bus and RV parking to the left as you come in. Great to have a nice place to park and breakfast in the morning is never bad either Thanks Cracker Barrel!
Tip: There is a second entrance past the main one, if the parking lot is full and you're coming in with a long rig try the second entrance, little easier.
