The mosquitoes were terrible! We couldn't eat outside, we could hardly walk to the bathroom without having long pants and shirts on. Most sites have electric, first come first serve and fills up by 9:30 am, we got one of last sites, maybe that is why it was so bad. We have a short vehicle (18') and we barely fit (un-level too)! It was so small our picnic table was on neighbor's site. They do have showers, didn't use for $5 7 minutes and laundry.
Some sites have a great view (if you manage to get our) but that can't make up for all the other negatives! We looked at Colter Bay and we stay here next time.
Nightly Rate: $34.00

Surprising find! There’s a guided tour and a shorter tour that you can find on the museum website.
Indoors worthwhile but outside activities not great!
2017 garden quilts & art by Seward Johnson was not to be missed great!! Elkhart locals said they've never seen so much interest in art & quilt combo.
Great snapshot of RV history
We loved it! Amazing gardens that have been around for a hundred years! It doesn't look really dated like so many older attractions though. They manage to pack a lot of flora and fauna into a relatively small space. I saw Groupons to save on admission price, so check before going.
This is a hidden find with a great view of the coast AND a great story. The tower sits right above the High Rock Cottage (a boarded up structure) where the story of a man seeking to communicate with God through his electrical machine takes place (story can be found under the cottage location). There is parking and 2 nice playgrounds.
We took a Christmas evening tour and it was fabulous! There were musicians serenading us and being able to tour the castle at night was special. We also a previous visit in the Spring.
It was an amazing visit. The setting, gardens and interior detailing made it a high point of our week long Hudson Valley trip
