A colorful patchwork of quilt inspired gardens and quilt-themed murals linked by the roads that form the Heritage Trail. Every quilt garden and quilt mural has its own intricate pattern, many are original designs, and each has its own unique story.Each of the seven unique communities that host quilt gardens & murals has its own special character and fun finds you’ll want to explore.
The point that the address takes you to is not where this is located. The quilt gardens are actually spread out over several towns and not in 1 place or area. Stopped at a gas station to ask about it and the guy working had no clue what I was talking about. If you have the time/desire to drive around and find them, the 2 we looked at were cool, but honestly it was frustrating how confusing this was.
Waste of time. There was nothing at the destination. Super disappointed.
2017 garden quilts & art by Seward Johnson was not to be missed great!! Elkhart locals said they've never seen so much interest in art & quilt combo.
These gardens are not all in one location. We thought they were. We couldn't even find one of them. We went to the Elkhart visitor center. It was afterhours. No one could help us find even one garden. I don't think this is a good attraction for a family or someone who is trying to cover a lot of ground road tripping in a day. This will add extra miles for sure. We wasted 30-45 minutes just trying to find one. I think they are spread out all over and not one large garden.
