Great location for a stop after Little Bighorn NM before heading for Devils Tower and Mt Rushmore. Super friendly hosts Cheryl and Derek, very clean facility and nice camp sites that are gravel and level with full hook ups. Would definitely stay here again and longer. Some slight noise from the 90 fwy but not bad.

Good communication to make an appointment. Clean RV dump station, $20.

Great campground in a beautiful canyon just off the 70 freeway making this a great stop for us on our way to Colorado. We had a full hook up site at Sam Stowe campground that was fairly level and spacious. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and the camp host was super friendly. We had good AT&T cell service. Looking forward to staying longer next time and exploring the park.

Thanks to camp host Kimo for finding us a site for our one night stay. It was 15 years since we last stayed here and it was great to return. Beautiful setting for a great nights sleep and plenty to do if you are staying there longer. Highly recommend an ice cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale at the general store, and a slice of delicious home made pie.

Great location with beautiful scenery all around. Lucky to find several vacant sites on a Saturday. The nearby general store is well stocked.

Was able to get a space for one night on a recent road trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gilbert Ray. Great location close to the NP, good size sites, and clean facilities. Would definitely like to stay longer next time.
