The views are amazing! I would even go so far as to say it’s a hidden gem in those regards, but at the door of our camper, it looks like someone smoked an entire case of cigarettes and left every butt there. The office area looks more like a rundown trailer park. But, I will say that the staff is very friendly and I would definitely stay here again for these views! Other than the highway that’s a few hundred yards away, it’s very quiet. We definitely felt safe and our kids loved it! The lots seem fairly level also. Oh, and it has a dump station, not full hookup and it is definitely not a place for much more than a 40’ rig.

Definitely worth the stop, whether you’ve lost someone or not. We lost our son 7 years ago today and the serenity of the entire area was so peaceful.
More signs are needed to find your way around the sites. Between the trains and highway and loud vehicles, it’s hard to get a decent night sleep. Campground is nothing to write home about, all of the sites are gravel with a picnic table. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s worth $35+/night.
The women’s bath house was seriously outdated, which I can smile and nod at, but in order to shower, you had to stand in at least 1 inch of standing water! The sites are very different in size (ranging from very small to very good sized), but there doesn’t seem to be any indicators as to what size you are getting on the webpage. We went with friends of ours that have a bigger rig and had to switch sites with them, because their rig definitely would not have fit their original site! It asked for your rig size, but doesn’t tell you if it won’t fit!
