An absolute must stop at the Cape Canaveral NP. Its path is a wooden boardwalk that leads to an elevated boardwalk with elevation over 80’. Thats right-80’ ht. Once you are up-youll be able to see the ocean And Indian River-ICW in the same view-both north and south views. A very nice surprise. Take a picnic and enjoy the view up top! Three areas to sit and take it all in.
Highly recommended. Rent appropriate shoes and a walking stick from Zion Outfitters-right next to park entrance, and arrange for the private shuttle that picks up at Zion Outfitters:Red Rock. You can park free in parks visitor center parking if you get there early, park at back of the lot then walk over the bridge to Zion Outfitters. Pick up your gear the night before-they stay open till 9.
I just did the hike in late September-water was up to thigh high at highest. And its cold, at 65 degrees. Beautiful place.
