This was our last stop before going home and we are so happy we did. These place is awesome. The guys are so nice. When we walked in there were a few dogs laying around who could have cared less that we were there. Everywhere we looked was beautiful especially the top of the tower. We also climbed the rocks even our kids (4, 6, and 8). You have to find all the painted rocks.
It's cool for a huge statue that is holding a rifle.
Nice hotel. Right next to a gas station, Wendy's and Waffle House. people in the office were nice
Nice hotel. We didn't realize the pool was enclosed by the break walls so we didn't use the pool. Breakfast was good. We love the waffle maker. Right next door is a good steakhouse so we didn't have to drive to get dinner.
The woman at the desk told us a lot of info about the story behind the museum. It was pretty cool to see and learn. You are literally super close to the border. Our GPS tried to have us cross the border to make a u-turn. Thankfully we didn't.
We only stopped since we were driving right by it. We didn't do any hiking because we didn't have the time but we have a National park passport and got a stamp.
Yes it looks like a spaceship but its a real estate office now. We stopped, took a pic, then left.
This was the highlight of our day. It was so beautiful and we took lots of pictures. Unfortunately, the elevator was being worked on when we went so we had to walk in and out. Since we are not big hikers, it took us a little more time to walk up and out. There are numerous places to sit thoughout. Bring water to drink while you are down there. There are snacks and drinks in the lunchroom. Not really worth eating 750 ft under the surface.
Room had enough room for 2 queen bed and that's about it. Small fridge and microwave in room but no coffee maker. Also the lobby was small with a coffee maker sitting on a table by the window.
It was easy to find. It's easy to see from the road but worth getting out and walking around. Took pictures of the family and my kids running around playing.
