Downhill on the way there, up hill the way back. Path is nice, but rugged with large rocks, roots, and washouts. Getting from above the falls to below requires some effort. The water was hardly trickling 7/20/23. There are two creeks that the trails crosses over that probably give a good idea as to how the falls is flowing. Both were dry the day we went.
Gorgeous. Spent about 15 minutes here with my kids. They have a few items for purchase in the Chapel along with donation box.
Arrived at 1:10pm on a Thursday, store was closed, trail was open. There was an honor box for payments. Adults were $8, not sure what kids were, I only had $10 cash so that’s what I put in. Took me and my four kids ages 8, 6, 4, & 2 15 minutes to get from the parking lot, past natural bridge, to pivot rock and back. It was really hot out so we didn’t continue the trail past pivot rock. If you don’t plan to continue the trails beyond pivot rock I wouldn’t recommend spending the money on admission.
Beautiful architecture. There may be another entrance into the grounds, but from where we parked there were only stairs.

Very nice spot to visit. Main parking area was busy the Saturday afternoon we pulled in. We opted to drive the loop due to the crowds, hot weather that day, our kids being young, and myself being 8mo pregnant. Found a spot half way through to park the car and did some light exploring.
Little smaller than expected, but neat to see. Purchasing tickets online will speed up entering the park, there is only one ticket window.
Road was closed to cars, walked the mile pulling a wagon with three kids, from visitor center to the address listed. Address lead to parking where a sign stated 2 miles to Helen Hunt Falls. Enjoyed the views, but going the additional two miles to the falls was unrealistic for us.
