Our reservation was just cancelled and they said the camp is closed due to flooding that we should call to find out when it's open.

My favorite place to camp thus far! Next time I'm staying a week. It truly is one of the most relaxing, friendly and beautiful places I've ever been. You must visit!!

Horrible experience. The "Hammock" camp has several sites listed for RV's, that no RV could ever fit into... so that means your only option [because all sites are supposedly booked] is to move into the barren field adjacent to it. (There was a guy in tbe AODA site who was not disabled). Wouldn't have been horrible except for the several homeless people squatting there. With dogs. Partying. Fighting. Smoking cigarettes (ya...homeless...*wink*), peeing in jugs & throwing it into the camp. There is no regulation here. Also...no camp maps so nowhere to even hike. No fishing .

Great campsite. Note, there is no fishing or water access from the campsites. Every weekend says they are booked, and no one is here. Over 25 sites & their website always says they're full.... they are NOT. Just come here, the pace is empty. Had great cell service with straight talk, as always.

The spoil isn't as popular as the Town of Kicco campsite because it isn't directly on the water, but the Kissimmee River is about 100 feet away. Lots of trees and wildlife. Was excited to see the cows come hang out every night just at dusk, being a farmer from Wisconsin, this was fun. You are 45 mins from the nearest Walmart so stock up and yes there are prickers in the grass. Lots of places to hike and geocache. There is a Wagon ride from the ranch that comes thru on Sat afternoons, but that's the only sign of life we saw. Walked down to the river to fish, had a nice time for a free campsite. Thanks again SWIFTMUD. One bar with AT&T, my straighttalk service AS ALWAYS was great.

This is the best "RV Park" I've ever been to. Full hookups, no office/store/showers/toilet....which to me is a plus. The sites are spacious & the area is not only serene & beautiful, but VERY Close to all kinds of attractions. LOVE IT!!

First of all, do not make a reservation for the Equestrian camp if you have an RV- choose the Primitive option. The address HERE is the correct one, don't follow Google. There are separate gates & you want the right one- calling SWFWMD is USELESS, trust me. Once you get thru the gate, it's easy. Great place, fishing, cleaning station, pit toilet. Loved it. Straighttalk had excellent service as always.

They add bleach to the water, so it is not usable.
The elec was only good enough to run the TV & nothing else, not even one light.
The wifi was not good enough for Netflix.
The site was completely gravel.
The grassy areas are filled with stickers & can't be walked on by dogs.
The laundry water is stagnant & now all of my towels, sheets & clothes, smell like mold.
Right off the highway, so there is no where to walk.
Nothing is nearby- NOTHING.

Love it. We were here over Valentine's day, 2018. Wonderful weather, clean RV park right next to a great city park!! I love it when there is at least a place to walk the dogs....but here there was enough space to even have a tie out for the pups. Only 2 others were here while we were here. The park ranger pulled in just as we were setting up & he was the NICEST man on the planet, so sweet & funny!! I feel very safe here :) Close to lots of things, no Walmart but groceries, dollar store etc. What a nice place- we spend one of the 80 degree days picking up garbage that had blown along the tree line near us :) If everyone could do that while they're here, the Earth would love you forever :) :)

p.s. there is no wifi or fire ring lol

Only knew about having to make reservations online from other reviews. Wish the reservation website was accurate, this is why I hate choosing a site online- of course we ended up on a gravel patch with no fire ring or picnic table....even tho we could have chosen from any of the other 6 avail. There is no one here to allow switching, so ur stuck with what u picked online- we did choose one that said it had these things..... I'm not happy- this is why we came here, to finally have a fire. The hookups are backwards, so our door opens right into the elec/water post & the gravel isn't the type you can walk on barefoot. We have dogs, so a patch of grass would have been nice- site #13 if you want that. Dump station not labeled, & host building says "do not disturb". NOT BEING ABLE to switch sites turned into a huge problem, when we were the ONLY ones camping here & guess where the next 2 campers parked? That's right- on EITHER SIDE OF US. REALLY?? IN a huge, empty park???? Thanks a lot. (Not their fault obviously). Not much to do here except watch the boats, fish if you paid the $60 for a non-resident fishing license ($90 if you get the salt water as well). My dogs are unhappy, I'm not thrilled, would rather be boondocking. Oh well, live & learn. (We also arrived on a Thurs which is lawn maintenance day, so the 4 large lawn mowers were overkill & quite noisy- they finally finished at 2:30pm.) Also- they might want to get a friendlier guy as the camp host- he just rolls up on his Harley & stares at us, trying to look all mean....? Why? We had to approach him & then he finally spoke "got a reservation", still no smile? Real nice....since the next day the guy down from us was beating the ^%&% out of his gf yelling "I should have f*%^&d you dead" (Yes, that's right, he yelled it three times) & the big tough biker guy just sat there watching.
