We really enjoyed our stay at this KOA. We were here for 13 nights, and loved this park. The staff were friendly, helpful, and hardworking. Although the sites were a bit close together in the A row, we enjoyed being close to the playground. It was the perfect size for kids under 8. The pool was heavily used as well, although we didn't use it but once. The wifi worked great (well enough for us to use for work), which is unheard of at most campgrounds. There was some train noise, but it did not bother us, I actually enjoy the trains. However, if I was tent camping I probably wouldn't. This is a very well taken care of campground, in a great location, close to shopping, bike trails, multiple parks and playgrounds - we look forward to returning!

We had a great stay here at this lovely park. The landscaping is beautiful and the owners and employees are the friendliest we’ve experienced at a campground before. Our site, 116 was towards the back and had beautiful trees around it. The pool was heated and the kids had a great time swimming. The playground and putt putt were fun and our dog enjoyed being off leash in the dog park. The WiFi worked great too! All in all a great stay and we look forward to returning!

We had a terrible experience at Flag City. Two days into our two-week stay a construction project started behind our rig. The next morning at 8:15 there was drilling, and forklift loading and dumping that we woke up to. The management was unwilling to move us to a spot away from construction even though the park was only half full. I asked for a refund, which they begrudgingly granted, but instead of prorating the weekly rate, they charged us the more expensive nightly right. When I questioned this, I was told by the manager that the owner did not want to refund us at all. What bothered me most was not the construction, but the complete lack of customer service. It felt like I was bothering them by complaining. I asked to have the owner call me, but he never did. Even though I disagree with them overcharging us, I will not waste my time dealing with them further. What started as a bad experience, we were able to enjoy, because we made use of our Harvest Hosts membership for the week, and got to enjoy the welcoming hospitality of area vineyards.

We were very disappointed by the customer service at this park. We booked it to be able to be close to Portland and use the pool. We have a 15 month old and were looking forward to taking him swimming. We were in the pool for 10 minutes before the manager came out and yelled at me that children who are not potty trained are not allowed in the pool. I informed her that he had swim pants on, but she said it did not matter. It was so embarrassing to be kicked out of the pool area in front of all the other guests. Although I do think this rule is unreasonable, and not family friendly, the way it was enforced is what I have the biggest issue with. We told them when we booked we have a toddler in our party, I think we should have been informed then of the rule, and then we could decide if we wanted to pay the $60 per night rate or not.

The park was clean, although the pool area and club room were both small and dated. The laundry room was nice, with several washers and dryers and you could use your credit card instead of quarters for the machines which I liked. The wifi was also good, although we were in the front, so I'm not sure about any where else in the park. This is a large RV park and we did enjoy riding our bikes around it. It was also close to Portland. We would not choose to stay here again simply because of the lack of customer service.

We pulled in here late at night, and chose this site over JT BLM because we didn't want to navigate that late. So glad we did! The spot was great, easy to back in for our 38 ft Class A, and easy to get to JT from here (a 10 minute drive). The site hosts were lovely and welcoming. When I inquired about running our generator the next day, they said it wasn't a problem, but to please shut it off by 9 pm. We were far enough from I 10 that noise was not an issue. The star gazing and mountains were lovely. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

While there are about 20 long, semi level spots, the whole time we were there, not more than 5 of them were in use.

Love, love, love this campground. We stayed at 7 state parks in Oregon over 6 weeks, and this was my favorite. Our site was B34, and an end site, so we had a large side lot for our toddler to run around in. There is a natural playground in the campground which was a hit. The best part of the park for us was the 4 miles of paved (relatively flat) bike paths. If you go right for 2 miles from the campground you ride through old growth forests and can visit the oldest, continuously operated store in Oregon. If you go left for 2 miles, you ride through the forest, the oak grove, prairies, and then forest with 100 year old Sequoias. Their visitor center was one of the nicest we have seen at a State Park, and had a kitchen garden and heirloom orchard behind it, representative of what settlers had. Our site just had water and electric, and was not very shady, overall A loop had more shade, but the sites were closer together there. Great park, can't wait to return.

We loved this RV Park, especially after seeing the other options in Half Moon Bay. This one is located away from the main highway so there is no traffic noise, and we could see the Pacific Ocean from our site. Also, lots of trees around the property. We loved that the Coastal Trail starts literally right outside of the park, so it was great to be able to bike and walk so easily on the trail, and down the beach. (Although not to restaurants, etc. unless willing to go at least 5 miles, some of which is off road trails). All the staff we met were very friendly, and helpful. My only complaints are that the sites are a bit tight, it made it hard for people to back in and get out. They don't recycle. Finally, the trash was picked up at 4:30 in the morning, so were awakened to the sound of the truck backing up and then the noise of the trash falling in. Seems like they could request a later pick up. Overall though, a great stay to enjoy Half Moon Bay!
