Enjoyed the park. Just leave your pet at home as there is no pet access. The park officials say you can take your pet anywhere but past the pillars. But there is nothing before that!

Went to Mt Rushmore and Custers State Park. You can easily fit this into your schedule. We entered Custers Park on the North East side and enjoyed the park. We left the park going this way and were absolutely amazed. Going in a clockwise flow from the NE and leaving to the NW, the park goes from; Grass plains to wooded country side' to rock cliffs in less than 30 miles. Incredible!
