Pulled into Kittery Trading post and went in to ask where to park and pick up some things. Staff was very nice and apologized but said they were not allowing overnight RV parking during COVID so be aware of this. Of note we got dinner across the street before leaving and another RV had pulled into the lot and parked in the back after store hours. Having asked and been told no we chose to leave but probably could have stayed.

So $40 gets you 1 of 4 spots that have been set up along the road. They are real full hookups but That’s it. Sites are grass and mostly flat. No wifi, no other amenities of any sort.

But it’s quiet and it had a spot so it met me needs on the road.

Note you need cash or check. No CCs as you pay in a drop box. There’s no office.

I was a bit worried about stopping here given some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Everything seems fine to me. Site is level. No mud pit as reported by others last year.

What an odd place this KOA. I booked this campground because they had spots and were only about 10 miles from the start of a bike race I was competing in. Seemed like a perfect location. On our way here we passed several other campground that were PACKED but upon arrival at the KOA it was pretty empty, seemed odd. Pulled up to the office and got out of my motorhome, sign on the door said "No Smoking" seemed straightforward but as I walked through the door I was smashed in the face by the distinct smell...like I hadn't smelled in years. So much cigarette smoke it was like an old dive bar from the 70s, and OH boy the staff. Ok we got checked in and headed back to our site...#115 which was at the back of the main section of the campground (there are 3 sections; small front section with cabins, the big main section and a far back off to the side section that was for long term campers). I have a 24" class C (B+ really) and man I wouldn't have wanted to try to get anything bigger into this site. I was in awe of the couple that got into spot 116 Saturday morning with their travel trailer (gentleman said that was the tightest spot he's ever been in). There seemed to be telephone (landline) hookup at the electric pole (unused for a long time) which was odd. I wouldn't even mention it but the wire was pretty low and hung right over the site so I was worried I'd catch it with an antenna or the AC on the roof. We cleared it but just. Site was flat and level so THAT was a positive thing. Cell service was intermittent at best and there was no WiFi...don't come here if you want to be connected. Water pressure was low too. But at least it was quiet and I guess not overly expensive...but they do charge per person so it would have been more if my daughter was traveling with us this weekend. Pool area seemed clean but we didn't swim as we had other things going on.

Just a half mile from the entrance and much nicer than the park that’s a bit closer. Friendly staff and was easy to level in our site. The bad would be connectivity. Wifi is worthless and while I had 2 bars of Verizon LTE the actual data transfer was hit or miss. If you need to be connected you might need Starlink here. The laundry and bath house facilities were super clean and in great order. My daughter appreciated that they had the best playground on our trip so far. And the pool and spa area was in good order as well.

Not sure when or why this place was loud per other reviews. It was dead silent when we stayed. They do now have online booking and you can pay with a CC.

Pros: clean, quiet, tons of beautiful lake, easy to park and mostly flat sites (easy to level)

Cons: pay for wifi?, spots are pretty stacked together.

We are headed across the country on i70 and needed a place to stay with water and electric hook ups. Milk Creek fit the bill nicely and at a reasonable rate. I probably wouldn’t choose it for a longer term stay but it met our needs perfectly.

Thought review in my opinion and while I can see why some have rated it low I don’t really think it’s deserved. You’re not at an RV resort here so don’t book this place thinking that’s what what you’re getting. Yes the campground toilets are porta pottys. Yes you have to pay to use their showers. But I’ve got all of that in my RV so no big deal IMO. Site is level enough. Cell service is better than the last place we stayed. And the air is fresh and clean. Some of the lower back sites look like they could be pretty uneven. Try to book the ones by the front.

So Branches of Niagara is expensive but it’s beautiful here. The park is clean and has so many amenities. Pools (yes with an s) lake for swimming and boating and fishing. Zip lines (big one and a smaller one) mini golf great playground. Sites are level. Wifi…well not great but decent for a campground. Couldn’t really ask for more. Wont hesitate to come back another visit.

For the cell service it doesn’t give the option but I have 3 out of 4 bars of 5G.

Super nice campground at a great state park. Full hookups, clean bathhouse. Be sure to bring your bike and fishing gear. Great hiking too.
