Needed an overnight stop midway between Sacramento and Anaheim. Easy off, easy on I-5. Not pretty but, wow, very level spots, well designed waste dump, electric boxes with lights to help with late arrivals. Did not use baths/showers. Fast food places only but they, and gas, are very close by. Owners are growing trees (soaker hoses…very dry there) which will add needed ambience. More campgrounds like this are needed near expressways. Noise was not a problem.

Staff had kindly called to arrange a gate key for our after hours arrival. From the availability map, the rows of RVs was expected but there was little space side to side and in back separating them. No privacy at all. Website photo showed a level gravel pad. Ours was muddy grass/sand with existing deep ruts. Got stuck once, not even in the old ruts. Finding a maneuverable spot meant being 5 feet away from the neighbor’s outdoor rug. This site should never have been rented. Management said they knew about the ruts…had much rain recently. Gravel pads, as shown on the website, would have circumvented the ruts. Verizon coverage has been only 3G in Canada and spotty.

You have to love it when you pop in to check the showers before using them and smell bleach. No mold anywhere—everything very clean. Handheld shower heads so much easier for rinsing off. Variety of sites—open, wooded. Campsite tables need paint/stain. Our site could use a bit of grading but it was minor. There was even a “Campers Lounge”. Very helpful staff. Stayed three days while seeing sites around Cape Breton. Convenient location. Verizon coverage in CA not very good—3G and often no service. Two “bars” here worked enough for internet and social media.

Deciding to forgo a 13 mile gravel road detour when construction closed the road to our selected campground, we hustled to find another one in an area with few offerings. This is where we ended up. The website said “they were working on it”. No. Most definitely not. Weeds everywhere. The owner(?), who was nice, tried three pedestals before finding one that worked. Then we were unable to level in the soft sand. Tried two more spots before finding working electric hook ups. We were desperate and tired or would have left. Do not consider this place unless you are in similar circumstances or the owner actually does make vast improvements. He was a sweet old guy but we were there for a campsite and it was an awful experience.

There are not many places to simply stop for a night along I 80 in northeastern Nevada if you heading east. It is as it says—easy on/off the xway, clean, pull through, good cell reception. Is it noisy being so close to I 80? During the day, maybe. At night with windows open and fan on it was not a problem. It is simply a well maintained gravel lot with an affable owner. So, 4 stars for honesty and convenience.

Stayed one night in early September 2020. No glitz but tall trees with some RV sites backing up to a quiet picturesque stream. Water levels were low so we sat in our chairs with cocktails (plastic glasses only!), feet in river. Heavenly. There is a “swimming hole” for clients only that others were obviously enjoying. Did not use bathhouse..cannot report. Poor reception for Verizon, one bar but no booster.

Not Vegas fans but all destinations east of SoCal seem to pass that way. Opted for a quick overnight close enough to the Hoover Dam to round out a long driving day and bypass LV. This place was as the previous reviewer said: absolutely the cleanest restrooms and showers we have ever visited. Small pull thru sites is all you need for an overnight. No road noise. Level gravel sites. Not picturesque, but easy on/off major roadway. Well maintained. Great little place.

It was a surprise to find this neatly maintained and extremely peaceful CG after driving through a depressed neighborhood. At one point we thought of turning around. However, this location is perfectly located if you are en route to Seattle from Kelowna, BC. The camp host, Sue, was very helpful and friendly. Level paved spots. Columbia River rolling through cooled off the night air to make sleeping with open windows very comfortable—it had been in the 90s when we arrived. Did not use showers but looked—they were clean. Sat on the banks of the Columbia, tranquil and no bugs!

I am sorry the previous reviewer had difficulty accessing his site and getting info. Our experience, however, was totally the opposite. With undetermined dates to return home after visiting family, we were traveling without reservations—on Labor Day weekend, during fire season, during the pandemic. We hoped to see the Tetons and Yellowstone and found Aspen Grove to be in a good position for snagging a campsite at those places after the holiday campers left. I called Sharon who said they were filled but did have a little hidden spot, not pretty or full hook up, but with 30 amp service. That spot was a lifesaver. For two days we hunkered down in the Labor Day weather drama (rapid drop in temp and very high winds). When we left the whole campground was covered in debris with uprooted mature trees. The owners had massive clean up work to do. That may have accounted for the previous review. It is a cute place with a common area with a pond, a barn to borrow goodies, a children’s area. The owners have obviously worked to make it a fun place to stay for a few days. They were very, very helpful.
