Extremely clean restrooms. Lots of room to walk around. Friendly, flexible staff. It must be crazy busy in the summer because the pool is lovely and the beach is cute. The week after Labor Day it was very quiet and staff appeared to be working on landscape projects

The staff at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground are saints! We were traveling through Cape Breton with our 16' Airstream Travel Trailer on our way to a wedding in Ingonish and blew a tire on the rig. We limped ourselves to Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground. The staff were so sweet to recommend local mechanics to help us get the tires replaced. They also provided us with a few extra nights and even kept the Airstream safe and sound on a tent site free of charge while we traveled unhitched to attend the wedding. The restrooms and showers are clean, hot and powerful. The attention to detail on the sites is impeccable. Highly recommend this campground!

It all started when we made our reservation, on Saturday before a Sunday arrival. The woman we spoke to on the phone was very kind and listened to our needs. When we arrived, we were greeted at the desk in the same kind, professional manner. One of the employees took us to the site. First time we've been escorted to our camping spot! But, the amazing part about this part is the pride all the employees show toward their park. It is by far the cleanest park we have ever stayed. The bathrooms are so clean with great showers that are equally clean. The laundry facility is also very clean and reasonably priced. The wifi at our campsite was pretty good. Better than most. Don't hesitate to make a reservation here. You will not be disappointed!

Nice for seasonal and families with lots of kid stuff on site but can accommodate lots of transients too.
This is a busy camp at the junction of the Cabot Trail so is frequently at near capacity. Having said that they were able to fit us in in July and September without a reservation.
Good location to spend a couple of nights (leave the big rig) for the Trail loop.
WiFi is pretty slow but phone coverage is good so if you have a good data plan you’ll be okay
2 &3 way sites ( 30ft wide 60ft deep but easy access ) with 30 & 50 amp.
Office made us welcome and escorted us to our site.
We use all our on coach facilities so can’t comment on the showers etc.

You have to love it when you pop in to check the showers before using them and smell bleach. No mold anywhere—everything very clean. Handheld shower heads so much easier for rinsing off. Variety of sites—open, wooded. Campsite tables need paint/stain. Our site could use a bit of grading but it was minor. There was even a “Campers Lounge”. Very helpful staff. Stayed three days while seeing sites around Cape Breton. Convenient location. Verizon coverage in CA not very good—3G and often no service. Two “bars” here worked enough for internet and social media.

Ideal location for touring the area and all it has to offer Day tripping from this location is perfect. You can drop the rig and drive the Cabot trail or spend some time in Baddeck. Lots of Restaraunt. Book early for the theatre and don’t miss the Alexander Graham Bell museum. Friendly staff, clean grounds.
