Quiet! That’s the first thing we noticed. Most sites are gravel, but level. Water and electric 30/50 amp. Dump station at entrance. Small paved area like an old parking lot for smaller campers, and lots of tent sites! There is the Cave of course (I wasn’t up for a mile and a quarter walk, so skipped it). There is canoeing/ rafting and zip lines. Decent playground for the kids and a large climbing wall at the zip line. Several pavilions and covered picnic tables. Great
For a short stopover or for the weekend. Would camp here again. Drawbacks: T-Mobile service was poor-fair. AT&T about the same. And mosquitoes with the nearby river.

We needed a place halfway between Harlingen and Western Oklahoma. The online reservation and check in were just what we needed. It was nice to be able to pull in just as it was getting dark with very good instructions on how to get to our spot. Spot 42 was very easy to pull straight into and level enough to leave our pick up hooked up so the next morning all we had to do was unplug from electricity and head out, we will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to South Texas.
