We stayed here for the Amazon work camping assignment.

Very large with nice cabins, full hook ups, very nice deluxe sites, & tent sites. There has been a lot of improvements in 2017 with a very nice pool, rec room, with decent bathrooms. The reason to stay here in my opinion is to visit the Grand Ole Opry or visit downtown. Shuttles from the KOA are convenient but don't expect to walk any where from this location.

Overall it is a typical KOA with very nice amenities.

Verizon - Was good except when there was an event at the Grand Ole Opry. 10 MBps Up & Down

AT&T & T-Mobile - Were ok 5 MBps Up & Down

For me a 3 Star RV resort and I would stay here again. The place is very nice and I think as good as it gets in Texarkana. The cabins are nice and situated around a pond. The swimming pool is clean and good condition. The bathrooms & laundry room were very clean and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The down fall is really the area. Doing a little biking and grocery shopping in the area is not very appealing. The northwest part of Texarkana near Texas A&M is the nicest area and where we ended up taking a couple trips to.

The WiFi was ok but not great.....typical for campground WiFi....not bad to get email or do a little web browsing but don't expect much more.

Cell coverage was good in this area and T-Mobile was first with +20Mbps down & 12Mbps up. Next was AT&T with 7Mbps up & down, and Verizon was last at 5Mbps up & down.

We stayed here for a family get together and the cabins allowed the non-campers a nice place to stay. It is a good rural location with a lot of activities but each activity adds to the cost. A bit run down but functional.
****UPDATE**** May - August 2019*****
Many new updates, LOTS of fun stuff for kids to do - Pond with swimming and giant lily pad floaters. The kids love them! Pool is clean and tidy. Trees and landscaping are trimmed and very nice. Bathrooms are dated, but very clean at all times! Very impressed. The new owners take pride in their work and are very busy! They are doing upgrades about every week - New roof on main bathhouse. Very accommodating when receiving packages and friendly in the office and out by the campsite. We stayed here 2 1/2 months and will be back! Monthly rate $850. Very good rate for 50 amps and water. Pump out every week free of charge.

This is an awesome RV Park! The owners are very nice and the park is picture perfect with the landscaping and the gravel roads are graded every day and there are no potholes! The sites are very level and gravel is compact. Full hook ups on all sites. Bath and shower rooms along with laundry are super clean and not cluttered! Wifi was useable and fast. We use hotspots, but you could use their wifi because it works good! I would recommend this place to anyone! We were using Verizon at the beginning of the month and ended up using Sprint at the end. They were both very fast and useable for remote working.

This is a very nice area and you can read what others have posted to get a good feel of things. Main Points I liked.

1.) Far enough away from the interstate that you don't hear it but easy access
2.) Parking spots are narrow but sites are adequate
3.) Bathrooms were ok but not great
4.) Near the water

Cell Coverage:
1.) Verizon wins with 5 Mbps up/down
2.) AT&T was ok with 5 Mbps down but 1 Mbps up
3.) T-Mobile No service

This is an expensive place to stay so we planned our stay for a month to take advantage of the monthly rate which reduced the daily rate significantly. If you like casinos this is a great place to stay as Black Hawk and Central City are booming with casinos. The road to the campsite is easy enough to get too but is steep. New road exits allow easy access to the KOA without having to drive into Central City. Visit Idaho Springs for a better downtown experience and food (my favorite is Beau Jo’s), Hidee and Argo mine tours are worth checking out.

Verizon was the best for data with 20 down and 10 up, AT&T was good with 10 down and 5 up, T-Mobile was usable with solid 20 down but upload was mostly under 1. WiFi was solid and very usable for anything including streaming Netflix except for the occasional evening.

This RV park is nicely tucked away in a quiet field behind a cemetery. The road that connects this park is extremely narrow and suggest taking the east exit for Mt. Vernon and take 115. This will minimize the distance travelled on this narrow road.

There are three nice long, paved sites that any size rig will fit in. Most of the sites are filled with what appears to be permanent residents or at least permanent sites. Some are very nice and clean and others have a bit of clutter around them.

There dog policy for the permanent sites seems to be anything goes as many dogs will roam the campground. Never was a problem for us but is noted.

The bathroom & laundry facility are extremely clean & very nice. All in all, an adequate place to stay for a night or two that could be much more if a few improvements were done.

WiFi is of typical campground quality....might be able to get an email through. AT&T was first with 30-40 mbps down & 10 mbps up, Verizon & T-Moble were usable both around 5 mbps down & 2 mbps up.

We stayed here for the SCTP National Trap Shooting. This is a large facility that is geared towards the shooting sports including Trap, Bunker, Sporting Clays, & Skeet. Having said that there facilities are very good including a very ample big rig section and everything in-between.
I didn't get to the indoor pool but from the outside the facility looked very nice and the fishing pond does hold fish.

Verizon worked fine until the 1000+ people all got on at the same time.

T-Mobile worked great anytime of the day.

Stayed in the off season days before closing for the season so had the pick of the place. Loyd was very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of sites that are packed in but organized very well. On a very busy day I could see having a bit of a traffic jam. Had no problems parking a 38 foot 5th wheel. AT&T on LTE setting was the best 20+ up and down but T-Mobile & Verizon were both usable.

This campground was easy to get to on the outskirts of Tyler off of HWY 31. The campground has very narrow roads and campsites so bigger rigs watch your turns. It is essentially a parking lot and good for a quick stop.

We were able to get get propane onsite and the tanks was picked up at our site to get filled.
