Based upon our site, #25, we are very pleased with this park. We don't have a lot of room to set up chairs, but sufficient for the two of us. We are right on the lovely clear water creek. From I-70, you go through a lot of residential area before coming to the canyon that houses the campground. That means it is away from any highway noise...yes!!! The staff was helpful and guided us to our site and made sure we got backed in. They are big enough sites for larger rigs but not the easiest to get into, so the help was appreciated. It appears the other non-creek side sites are more typical of RV parks, but the creek side ones are delightful. Very well kept-up with gravel and bark covering most dirt area. The Wi-Fi was one of the best we've had but for cell service, we had to drive about 2 miles back toward town to get out of the canyon. Warning: If you are planning to go to Aspen and the Maroon Bells, the info we got was incorrect. We read that you had to have a reservation for parking between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but before or after you could just drive in. We left the campground at 6 a.m. and got to the Marron Bells around 7:20 (lots of commuter traffic). But we were turned away and told we'd have to take the shuttle bus. The gate guard said one needs a reservation before 8 a.m. or after 5 p.m. but the rest of the day (8 a.m. -5 p.m.) the road is closed to all traffic except the shuttle bus. We were miffed and it was too early for anything in Aspen to be open.

The part of the park we were is has sharp corners and limited space for larger rigs. We had to wait an hour while a guy finally successfully winched his trailer off a tree. We had fun neighbors who offered us cocktails while we waited. We got into and out of our space just fine but there isn't a lot of space to maneuver. We were supposed to stay here two nights, but we wanted to be closer to Banff so we gave up our money for the second night and moved to the FCFS Municipal Park in Canmore, called Wapiti, which is about 25 minutes closer to the park and town of Banff. This park is in a lovely setting with gorgeous mountains all around, but most campsites where we were are in the trees so no real view. No wi-fi but we did have cell service. No water and 15 amp electrical but a big multi-lane dump station on the way out. You can hear the trains, but far enough away from highway to avoid that din.

Located right in the town of Libby, but you are still in the woods and on a little creek. Super convenient. You are greeted at the office by a sign proclaiming this to be Redneck Country. The office staff was friendly and helpful, guiding us and helping us back into our site right on the little creek. We were delightfully surprised to see and attend a Gay Pride festival going on at the park without too many protesters. I think the excessive heat of the day burned up their zeal. The campground has lots of grass and the sites are very nicely spaced, about 25-30 feet between most. We could hear the babbling creek. Good internet and cell service. The campground looked to be about half full on a weekend in early July 2023.

This campground is laid out so that most sites are nicely spaced from any others. Ours, #11, was very large and had no site behind us. It was also right next to the clean vault toilet. Being so close to the town of Frisco was a huge bonus. Cell service was good, but, naturally no wi-fi. Very big rig friendly in the right sites. Camp hosts seemed to be on the ball and visible in case one needed their assistance. Our site was marked with our name and dates. Quiet, especially considering how close to town it is.

Ditto to most of what was said in the other reviews, though we did not notice any sewer smells. Please note, though the address lists Klamath Falls, it is over 30 miles from that city. One thing not mentioned in the other reviews was the restaurant. It sits in a beautiful spot with outstanding views from every table, whether indoors or out. Angela, the only one working the bar and serving, works very hard but it really needs to have more than one server. She makes good drinks, and Dave, the cook does a fine job with the food. We especially enjoyed the clam chowder and the bread pudding. The weekend we were there, June 9-11, 2023, they had free rides on little steam powered boats. Nice idea, but the whistles from these boats can be annoying when you are trying to take an afternoon nap. The only sites big enough for larger rigs are in the center of the resort and thus you have no real view of the lake or of anything other than cabins, cars and trucks, and other rigs, thus it is not a great place to put out chairs. We spent our one day back in Klamath Falls doing errands, and the other going to Crater and Diamond Lakes. The area is beautiful, but I can't see the resort as a long term stay unless you are really into fishing or kayaking. They do have fairly decent Wi-Fi and cell service. Overall, we would stay here again if up this way, but not for more than two nights.

From the highway, this park looks like it would be really nice with lots of grass and beautiful huge evergreens. However, most spots, including ours ( #3) were very tight and all the grass is behind you, not off to your side like in most parks. Once our neighbor pulled in, we basically had only a few feet between our slides. The staff was very pleasant, and it is located right in the quaint little town of McCloud and just five miles from the three falls on the McCloud River. The park is conveniently located right on the highway, but it is a well-traveled road , especially by big rigs so it is quite noisy, even in the early morning hours. If you don't get there early, you better have a reservation; it got quite full. The Wi-Fi was very sketchy but cell service wasn't bad at all.

This summer we have been on the road 100 days and have been in 40 different campgrounds. This one is one of the most expensive and in our opinion one of the worst. A lot of money was spent here on ornamental things, fountains, statues, etc. but they saved money by backing campsites to one another. This is the only campground we've been in where we felt we had to close all our blinds at night; yes, the sites are wide, but you still feel like you are on top of your neighbors. No matter how bad all the other campgrounds were, we at least had a view of some kind of nature, even if it was just a copes of trees. Here, all we see are RVs. Considering the nightly fee, we expected better. No, we didn't expect a riverside lot, though we've had quite a few on this trip for lots less money, but at least some grass (the only grass was on a median separating rows of sites) and a picnic table that wouldn't send splinters up your rear and be situated so that you are staring at the exhaust pipes of your neighbor. Considering the website says lots sell in this place for $125K to $1.2 million, we thought even the low-income area would be far nicer. It appears that many sites, especially those we backed up to, are occupied by long term Southerners seeking some relief from the heat. Their campsites were crowded with large tents and a panoply of camping paraphernalia, giving the place a rather hobo camp feel, albeit an upscale one. Another expectation for this price is decent Wi-Fi but it is weak, even though they pull from 4 towers. Our laptop was OK, and cell service pretty good, but the signal wasn't strong enough for the TV to stay on without buffering on and off constantly. There are many camping options in this area, including lots of private full hook-up ones; we would go elsewhere next time we are in this beautiful area. And, although, not the campground's fault, Creede is a cool blast to the past, but you better plan eating out or doing anything in town before 6 p.m. because this place virtually becomes a ghost town at sundown. We literally stood in the middle of Main St. for a good three minutes without a vehicle approaching. Kinda nice, but just be in the know,

Small park with fairly close sites. No where to really put out chairs and sit. The cell service was fine but the Wi-Fi was very intermittent, especially during heavy traffic hours. There is some noise from highway but not awful. Not a terrible place if your main objective is to see the town but wouldn't stay more than two nights. Big rig friendly.

Elkamp is very beautiful. Campgrounds in rain forests tend to be. That said, one must deal with the rain that makes it so lush. We were supposed to be here for 11 days but left after 5 solid days of rain and no chance to see Rainier with all the clouds. This was in Mid-June 2023. Of course, we got no refund but did not expect one.
Because their dump station was closed for repairs, they gave us to the only full hookup site in the campground. Very nice of them since all the rest are partial only or tent sites. There are two restrooms and one shower for the whole park, but it isn't that large so there never seemed to be anyone waiting. They do need to have a bench or some sort of seating in the shower room. The store they have is very upscale and lovely, but not really filled with anything you might need, just classy souvenirs. We had excellent Wi-Fi the first night, but after that it was sketchy at best and usually non-existent, at least at our site. The camp is in a fairly isolated spot, with a couple of very small towns a few miles away so best to come prepared. One complaint we had was that they keep the entrance gate closed but not locked. When we would leave at about 10 a.m. the gate would still be closed and you have to get out and open it, then shut it. Small issues but a bit of a bother. We felt that the gate should be open by 8 a.m. and stay open until around 8 p.m. Overall, Elkamp is a beautiful campground, one of the nicest private parks we've ever stayed at and we cannot hold them responsible for the weather. We would return, perhaps later in the summer when it might be drier. We did not have any cell service.

A typical private park, but a little classier. Has nice trees and some room between sites. Hosts very helpful and pleasant. A decent spot to stay along Hwy 90 if you need hookups. Our site had no sewer hookup but they have a dump station. Cell service and Wi-Fi available.
