Clean and large bathrooms. Free Hot coffee at community room every morning (fancy coffee and pastry for sale)! Staff was helpful. All sites have a view of the river. Quiet except the wildlife.
The museum was excellent with a variety of interactive displays. Staff and volunteers were polite, encouraging and informative. Perfect for all age groups. Outdoor areas are pet friendly.
The park is beautiful with excellent opportunities for bird watching, fishing, and relaxing with family. However the campground was not maintained well. Pit toilet facilities were not cleaned, had mice and doors hanging off hinges or off completely. Mosquitoes were plentiful.
Definitely brings history to life. We parked on the not Selma side of the bridge and walked it. The memorial park was in disrepair. There is a good sidewalk on the bridge but there is no barrier between you and traffic so it is fine for older children and adults.
Excellent and informative displays, cool planes hanging in the hanger. national Park rangers and staff were all well informed. Would definitely go back. Good for all ages except very young children.
