We were on a trip from Kansas City to Dallas and stopped in Wichita Falls for a quick visit with a family member. The park is first come, first serve and there were plenty of sites available. The park is laid out differently than all of the other parks we use, so figuring out the traffic flow and direction for our pull through took a minute. Each site had power and water, but no sewer. The dump station was located at the park exit and was easy to use. The clean out was in a depressed section of concrete with no curb to interfere with the hose.

Wichita Bend RV Park is just off the southbound side of the freeway and really easy to get to. The park exit put us on the entrance ramp to the freeway headed south. Going to or from the park northbound may be a little more complicated.

The park is unattended and notices at the entrance caution visitors to pay for the site right away. Quite frankly, I got wrapped up in setting up the RV and forgot. We were in a hurry, too, and left for about an hour and half to meet family for dinner. By the time we returned, a warning notice was taped to our door threatening a citation and $500 fine. We wrote a check as instructed, put it in one of the envelopes stored at the iron ranger, and avoided the fine.

Everyone we saw at the park looked like they belonged there, so we didn't have any immediate concerns about security. But being so close to a public park (Lucy Park), the freeway, and others passing quickly through, we kept our eyes open and didn't leave anything out overnight.

This stop is just what we needed for the touch and go through Wichita Falls... a quick, no-frills, inexpensive stop.

Sewer connection was really high and the water pipe was broken so no ability to rinse. Not worth $10 fee

Prior to arriving, we got a text saying that we had our choice for sites and we simply needed to pull into the best available. The office was closed so we were also given different options to pay. It was easy. The park was small and a gravel road looped around a green space in the middle. The gravel pad in pull-through site 25 was pretty level so we needed just a small adjustment.

The park has a bath house, but the restrooms were closed. The laundry facility had several commercial washer/dryer stacks, but some were out of order. Still, I was able to wash/dry three loads at the same time. The laundry facility was clean enough that there was no need to find a laundromat in town.

The park was only about an hour from Four Corners and we were able to make that drive after work. Mesa Verde was just ten to fifteen minutes down the road.

My wife and I work from the road and we have a plan and router for ATT, Verizon, and T-Mobile. All three carriers had strong 4g signals so connectivity was never an issue.

This was an excellent park for us. Small, quiet, with decent space between the sites. We'll definit

We left Tampa for Mobile later than expected and needed to find an overnight stop in-between. Our connectivity is great from the truck so we looked online and found this park in Chattahoochee. We checked availability and tried to reserve a spot, but couldn't make it through all of the online form's steps.. So, we called for the reservation.

The park is just a mile or so off of I-10 so the location was perfect. We felt good about the stay by simply pulling in. We were checked in at the office by a friendly host, then he led us to our spot.

The park had a well stocked camp store, propane fill station, and everything was clean. The main office building and store, cabins, campsites, community fire pits, playground for kids, and exercise and stretching equipment for adults were in good repair.

Our site was level so we didn't need to disconnect for the quick, overnight stay.

The park is a short drive west of Tallahassee so the next time we find ourselves in the area for business or pleasure, we'll stay here rather than at a park closer to the city.

We work from the road and connect using a Cudy router with ATT service and a GTEN router for Verizon. As you can see in one of the pics, a cell tower was very close so we had good, strong signals across both providers.

As with all of our arrivals, I pulled up next to the office and walked inside to register. Before I could get out a good natured "hello", the staff called me by name and welcomed me to the park. I knew immediately that they knew what they were doing and were good at it.

We were led to our site which was at the top of a hill and under a group of large pine trees and there was plenty of space between sites so, it didn't feel crowded. The campground has a few sections which were built so far from each other that they appeared to be completely separate campgrounds. Each one seemed to accommodate different camping requirements. For example, there seemed to be one section reserved for seasonal campers and another section for full-hookup.

Our section had more of the transient and longer-stay guests, but not seasonal. Our section also had water/electric, but no sewer. That wasn't a problem because the campground operates a vacuum truck to empty tanks on site. Our section was also within a couple hundred yards to a group of buildings which included an event space, a restaurant with a view, and a shower facility.

The showers were clean, and provided ample hot water and pressure at 50 cents for 4 minutes.

We work from the road and use a GTEN router with unlimited Verizon service and a Cudy-6660 router with ATT. Both services worked well from our site.

We arrived after hours. An envelope with our name on it was taped to the door and that is not unusual for after-hours arrivals, but I had a question and called the office phone number. I left a voice mail and never got a call back. A couple of days later, I saw a couple of cars in front of the office so I walked up. The lights appeared to be off, the “open” sign was unlit, but I tried the door anyway and it opened. There were two staff members inside that I found to be friendly and helpful. So, the staff was friendly when I actually found them.

The office building itself needed maintenance and it reflected what we found in the bathroom and laundry. The women's bathroom was old and worn, but serviceable. The tiles were worn and cracked, and one of the showers was out of service. The laundry room had a few machines in it, one was marked as broken. The others were not lined up neatly so it was hard to tell if the machines worked at all.

I chose to do my laundry at a commercial laundromat in town.

Our space was marked as a pull-through, but the road between two rows of pull-through sites was very narrow. It felt more like a path. The sites on our row were short and close to each other.

The site's entry was not angled to the roadway for easy in and easy out. A 90 degree turn was required. I felt like I could not make the turn without driving through the grass on one side of the pad and running the tires of my RV along the other side. A fire ring made that maneuver risky, so I wound up driving through a pull-through site across from ours just to get in. Later, I saw someone do the same thing to get into their site.

The site was on a downslope and it didn't look too bad, initially. We normally need our leveling wedges only to raise the down-hill side of our Airstream. This time, we needed to use wooden planks under the wedges to bring the passenger side of our RV to an acceptable level.

Now, the good... there were large sections of empty campsites so the views through those areas were pretty nice. There were lots of trees changing color. The park itself is located within the entertainment district so proximity to local attractions, restaurants, and pubs was really good.

We were glad to have full hook-ups, but this was our first trip to Wisconsin Dells and we wondered what the other campgrounds looked like. We'll try one next time through.

My wife and I work from the road and we use a Cudy router with ATT service and a GTEN router with Verizon. Connectivity to both services was good.

We chose Shoshone for its proximity to Death Valley and planned to stay two weeks. We had no reason to believe that the cell service reviews shown by others would be inaccurate, but as we were checking in, we were told that there was no cell service.

We carry routers and sims for all three major carriers so even after being told that there was no cell service,I was pretty certain we could squeeze something out of the air.

But he was right. All three of our routers failed to connect and I was told later that the park never had cell service. The park has wifi, but relying on its shared bandwidth is not a workable solution for us, so we stayed one night and headed to our next destination two weeks early.

Nice looking park, don’t get me wrong. But we rely on connectivity and couldn’t find it here with the gear that we have.

Drove up from Kansas City to have Blue Ox assess the hitch we inherited when we bought our used Airstream. As a Blue Ox customer, we got a concrete pad with full hookups at no cost. Only a few pads are concrete, the rest are gravel. Our site was assigned when l set the appointment for the assessment so when we arrived, we simply pulled in and set up. There was no check in.

We took this trip in late October, 2021 and there were only a few other campers in campground. The fall foliage gave us something pleasant to look at.

My wife and I work remotely and we use a Cradlepoint router with an un-throttled ATT plan from Bix Wireless. We saw a good, solid 3 bar connection with ATT and 4 bars with the Verizon JetPack we use as a back-up.

We really like this park and location because it is right off of I-435 and it was easy to get to.

Our stay began in late February and extended into March so the parks were closed and initially, there were very few campers in the village. Because of the freezing temperatures, the pull through sites were the only ones open as they were the only ones with blankets and heat tape around the water connections. It was great to have full hook-ups during the winter weather.

The park staff were friendly and all of the spaces in the park have level concrete pads with cedar bushes between each one to help break up the site-line to your next door neighbor. The park is on a hill so we were able to look out of the window at the freeway traffic which was close enough to see, but too far away for us to hear.

We work remotely using two different routers and carriers and enjoyed a good, strong signal with both.

For negatives, I don't have anything to report. The amusement parks were closed for the season so we did not hear any of the park noise mentioned by other reviewers. The industrial park across the street was active and while we heard some noise, it did not seem loud or excessive.

Would we stay here again? Yep, already scheduled. :-)

We were on our way from Gulf Shores to Tampa and stopped in Tallahassee because we have business there later this year and we wanted to try out the park. The staff was friendly and check in was easy. The huge oak trees with Spanish moss gave the park a great look.

However, the park layout is a bit complicated. The main office, laundry, community pavilion, and dumpster separate a mostly long term residential area from the mostly short term customers. The wide asphalt roads were broken up in wide swaths along the edge and it was sometimes hard to tell where the road edge ended. The laundry facility, washers, and driers were very clean and in good repair.

It was easy to drive into and out of the park and that was good because the grocery stores and other shopping stores were far enough away to make walking to them impracticable. So, our walks were limited to short excursions around the grounds.

We would stay again, but we’ll also try somewhere else as we pass through Tallahassee.
