Neat to learn the history and see how the statue was made. The lookout is nice but if you don't like heights be warned. The lookout is a metal grate walkway which you can see through.
Not able to tour since we were in Birmingham on a non touring day. However we were impressed by the memorial outside the church. Also the park diagonal from the church has a nice memorial worth checking out.
Fun family experience! If visiting in the summer find out when space camps begin so their arrival doesn't interfere with your visit, as it did ours. As we were touring the Saturn V space we could barely hear our tour guide over the broadcasted rules to the campers.
The lookout and waterfall are cool and worth the walk. However the other things (gnome village and fairytale land) are a little cheesy.
We had a great time visiting based on a recommendation from a local friend. Definitely buy your tickets ahead of time so you don't stand in super long lines and get there early. We would have given a 5 but it was a mess from construction and it a little commercialized but the waterfall is beautiful. Worth the time and money.
