Definitely a tourist attraction. They tried to make it look authentic but you can tell a lot of it is fake. The building with the museum is more gift shop than museum. Most disappointing stop on our 10 state road trip.
Very cool. Ended up spending more time here than we had anticipated. If there for a cave tour do it. It’s so cool!
Definitely worth the visit. Free and lots of hands on learning for kids (and adults).
This is one of the nicer maintained and renovated historic places we’ve visited. The renovations held show what the prison was like without making it too modern looking. The self guided tour is well written and the displays are well done. We learned a lot and are glad we stopped although we were a little unsure upon our arrival.
Dairy Queen across the street made for a nice evening snack while looking at the statue. The egrets were still nesting and were quite an amazing site. A very clean park.
No true markings for the park. The only way we knew it was the right place was the 5 towers. It is a cool spot though.

May not have the beautiful dome of the old capitol but it had a great observation deck. Be sure to check the hours because the observation deck closes before the capitol does.

The oak trees are amazing but the house isn't anything real special, especially if you've been to other plantations or houses of that era.
