We came a long way off our regular route to come see this in July and unfortunately, it was closed and fenced off all around, with "private property" and "no trespassing" signs. There was a very large crack in the wall of the cabin and it looked derelict, possibly unsafe to enter. We were really bummed we didn't get to go inside and learn more! If you're in the area (which is unlikely to happen, given its distance from just about anything) it's worth stopping to look at and stretch your legs, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see it. Heading from the west, however, we drove through a very large wind farm to get here--hundreds of wind turbines--so if your kid is a windmill freak like ours, it may be worth the jaunt!
