Great spot to stop and get in a nice little walk and some little-known history. Beautiful scenery & well-maintained.
Just FYI- if you get there & the visitors center is closed, you need to walk around the building to get to the paved pathway. It’s not visible from the front or the parking lot.

It is a fun stop if you enjoy stand-alone roadside attractions. A bit out of the way & isolated but worth the time to see it.
You can buy the coins to make it breathe fire at the liquor store across the street.

I stopped just to see the VW tower. Super cool! Easy to get to - right off the highway.
Just FYI for dog owners: there’s a nice big patch of lawn next to the parking lot.
