Very near Mescal Studios where many great movies have been shot.
They have tours which are must see if available.
Cross the RR tracks on Mescal Road and you are on AZ State Land and a permit is required and it has a 14 day limit.
Plenty of places along Mescal Road to camp.
Some places are tougher to get to than others.
There is even a convenient Dollar General.

Great BLM location.
Near I-8.
Can be overnight or 14 days.
Beware of low washes when it rains.

Good gravel road.
Site is just before the big dip in the road into a wash.

Good location south of St. Louis. Boating, swimming, camping. Two vault toilets. In between Dittmer and Hillsboro. Must get permit which can be obtained online.

The casino hours are 1000-0200.

It is hard to beat three free nights if needed.
It is $25 per night after three and a city permit is needed.
It is a great location right off the main highway.
There is plenty of walking that can be done.
It is probably best for an overnight passing through.
Everything is done with the RV traveler in mind.
It is very clean and well maintained.
The parking is on gravel.

Location is near the harbor.
It is located just under the Newport bridge.
Plenty of space to spread out.

The park visitors increase on Friday through Sunday.
Monday through Thursday the park is very peaceful and quiet.

There is camping for different styles of camping.
The lake is huge as can easily been seen on Google Maps.
The park has concrete paths for bicycles or walking.
The park has a designated swimming area with a sandy beach.
The park has a special camping area for horse with stalls and a large workout pen.
The park has horse trails.
The park has a kid pond.
The park has a lot of deer and other animals.
The park has several children playgrounds.
The restrooms and showers were very clean.
The office personnel were very helpful including helping pick a good campsite.

If you are going to stay in many Texas State Parks, get a yearly pass for $70. The pass pays for itself in only 10 days.

Close to I-10.
