Solid food, fairly standard truck stop style breakfasts. Was not crowded at all when we went and the staff was friendly. There is a completely bizarre mannequin in a bathtub in the bathroom. They dress it up and supposedly it's there to prevent folks from peeing in the tub. Adding to the kitsch vibe, it apparently screams at you if you touch it. I saw the motion detector, but chickened out and didn't test it.
We did not go to the hotel. In the summer, the Bears are set up all around downtown in various locations. It was fun to look for them as we explored and drove around. It's similar to the decorated guitars around Nashville, hearts around San Francisco, and the cows that used to be around Chicago.
Great stop on the way up to Crater Lake. Nice little parking lot. Somewhat steep in spots, but very short hike to a viewing area for the falls. Our stop was probably 30-40 min total, including all our various photo ops. There was another short hike to some boulders which we did not do.
